And the ones where I stop after one seem to be in the majority at the moment. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-68376439716974367922017-08-01T21:17:45.611-07:002017-08-01T21:17:45.611-07:00This is an author I haven't come across before...This is an author I haven't come across before. Before I started blogging, I was a series binge reader—if I liked the first one, I plowed through as many as I could find, as fast as I could find them. (Which wasn't always very fast, when I was on a budget and the library didn't have a copy.) Now I often get pulled from one series to another because I have ARCs waiting...but I still like reading a series in order in a relatively short period of time when I can find the time.Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08639732368395025578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-48760213436321670462017-08-01T12:09:29.961-07:002017-08-01T12:09:29.961-07:00I agree...and I think this one book is probably en...I agree...and I think this one book is probably enough of this series for me. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-26924580452601128172017-08-01T12:07:14.897-07:002017-08-01T12:07:14.897-07:00It depends on the story for me whether I keep read...It depends on the story for me whether I keep reading the series; sometimes the second book isn't the story I want to read. But sometimes, like you, I just get too swamped with other books. That's why, this summer, I've tried to catch up on some of my favorite series...before I start too many new ones. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-56911108336513663722017-08-01T06:00:01.993-07:002017-08-01T06:00:01.993-07:00I usually follow up on a series if I enjoy the fir...I usually follow up on a series if I enjoy the first one, if the next one is on NetGalley or at the library--and if I don't forget because I'm swamped with other books I want to read. :) jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-79400574076344748522017-07-31T18:17:13.662-07:002017-07-31T18:17:13.662-07:00This sounds like a fun read. I agree that sometimes one book is enough so it's always good that a series book can read as a standalone. :) Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03967837585961009598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-15585398355749270592017-07-31T16:32:15.512-07:002017-07-31T16:32:15.512-07:00I so agree. That can be annoying, especially when I'm not expecting it. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-61614970345646388462017-07-31T16:30:59.108-07:002017-07-31T16:30:59.108-07:00Sometimes one book is all I want. :)Sometimes one book is all I want. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-31091038711957094052017-07-31T14:09:59.829-07:002017-07-31T14:09:59.829-07:00Nothing wrong with only reading the first in the s...Nothing wrong with only reading the first in the series. Then I have more time to try other books! I felt that way about The Dresden Files, for example. Glad I read Storm Front, but totally OK with not continuing.Ruthiellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03871834571645928819noreply@blogger.com
