I think my sister read Lark Rise to Candleford at some point; it was also made into a British TV miniseries. I can add two to your list: Elizabeth Goudge has a short story called "The Golden Skylark", which I haven't read in so long that I only vaguely remember what it's about. And Mercedes Lackey's The Lark and the Wren gave me the inspiration for my nickname, since, like the main character, I'm also a musician -- though not as skilled instrumentally as Rune/Lark. But everyone seems to like it, so I might have to try it. :)Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3578922587252275029.post-28595902570114699582016-03-28T12:54:29.890-07:002016-03-28T12:54:29.890-07:00I didn't know E. And I haven't read any of these, but at least I have read and liked others by these authors: The Lark and the Wren by Mercedes Lackey, and The Lark by E. Nesbit. And Up with the Larks: Starting Again in Cornwall by Tessa Hainsworth sounds quite fun. I could only come up with The Song of the Lark, and Lark Rise to Candleford. The first one I haven't read yet, the second one I love (I haven't seen the TV adaptation).Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.com
