Reading Bingo!

Check it out! It's a new bookish Bingo card from Unruly Reader. You can pick one row of squares and read for bingo, or fill all 25 squares and go for blackout. It's a fun and different way to track what you read, and it just might expand your reading horizons, too. The Unruly Reader gives explanations and suggestions for each category on her blog, as well as a printable version of the card. I love reading bingo. It's one of my favorite bookish things. And I'm excited about most of the categories on this Bingo card, although a few of them worry me a little. Like the Book of Essays and a Cult Classic. Those will be a challenge for me, but I'm still going for blackout.

So, print out a Bingo card and play along.
Happy Reading!

  1. I loved doing a reading bingo last year. Thanks for sharing this one. I think I will read Walden for my "essays." It is on my shelf, and my TBR, so it will fill a triple bill. I hope you can find something for that category that you like!

    1. I love Thoreau. Walden is an excellent choice...and how cool that it also checks off one of your TBR books. I hope you enjoy reading it.

  2. What fun! I would be most intimidated by Magical Realism, I just have never gotten into that.

    1. It's all a question of finding the right book (preferably one that's not too long); I've enjoyed some of Sarah Addison Allen's books, and struggled a bit with Alice Hoffman...both authors write Magical Realism. Hopefully I'll be able to find a good one for my reading bingo square this year.

  3. Looks like fun! I'm doing the PopSugar reading challenge and about 6 others, or I would definitely take this on. Have a great time with it!

    1. Yeah, seven reading challenges is definitely enough. :) I have to admit, I don't really think of reading bingo as a challenge; I read so many books anyway, it's just a matter of putting the right book on the right square. I just think it's fun. Good luck with all of your challenges!

  4. Have you read The Empathy Exams? It's a great book of essays about pain and how we relate to people in pain.

    1. I haven't read that one. I'll have to look for it at the library. Thanks for the recommendation!

  6. I like some of the topics--the easiest for me would be Cover Attraction!

    1. Yeah, that's the first one I filled...just yesterday with Stoker's Manuscript. There are a few, though, that are going to be a little tricky.
