  1. Although I like the Ian Rutledge series by the Todds, I have enjoyed Bess Crawford as well. I just finished reading Michael Robotham's latest! Need to check on a couple of the titles you mentioned. :)

    1. Do you like Michael Robotham? I've never read him before, but he looked like a good author "From the R Shelf" to try. If I like this one, it's good to know he has other books I can read. :)

  2. That owl is amazing, did you make that photograph? I love his face and the look in his eyes. But even if you did not make this particlar photograph, I think it is still very cool that you spotted one!

    Kind regards,

    1. Sadly, I did not take the photo; I didn't have my camera with me while I was hiking. But that's exactly how he looked! Owls are so cool; I'm very excited that I got to see one. :)

    1. We were very surprised. He was just sitting there, swiveling his head and looking around. And so much smaller than the Great Horned Owl. It was a very happy moment on the hiking trail! :)

  4. I see the Charles Todd books pop up all over the bookish internet, but I've never read any of them! Is this your first time?

    1. It is the first one I've ever read...and I read it in two days and completely loved it. It's set during WWI and the main character is a nurse; I thought it was a great historical mystery and I'm looking forward to reading more by this author.
