  1. Great variety! I love several of the covers, especially the two mystery covers. Of course, I am frequently in the mood for a ghost story, so Shadowed Summer might be a good choice. :)

    1. And I had to narrow the list of summer reads down to these ones. Apparently, 'summer' is a very popular word in book titles. :)

  3. Wonderful list! I have a plane trip coming up. I don't know if I will "feel" like reading - travel can be stressful and distracting but I am hoping to get in a few "light" reads in...something not to taxing but with a compelling plot.

    1. It's hard for me to read when I'm traveling sometimes, too. I always try to take books with me that I know will read fast and won't bog down or be too complicated. Hope you have fun on your trip!! (And take lots of pics.) :D

  4. There's so many great looking books on your list. I love the cover for Without A Summer. The first book in that series has been on my TBR list for awhile now. I really need to find the time to read it.

  6. Great variety on your shelf for summer reads! I'm in the mood for books set in cold countries as we are now in the summer in Texas. Too hot so I need to imagine myself in cold places :)

    1. Books full of blizzards and snowstorms? Or set in Antarctica? In July, I'll be wanting to read some of those, too. :)

  11. I have the first Ben Aaronovitch on my summer reading shelf. Of course, it is on my shelf every season and I never get to it because then it will be another series that I am in the middle of. Sigh! ;)

    1. Ha! I know what you mean about being in the middle of too many series...and feeling like you're never going to catch up. Happens to me, too. :)

  12. Here is something for everyone! It makes me want the schoolyear to end very soon (still 7 more weeks), so I can read as much as I want!

    Kind regards,

  13. Agreed! There are so many great books set in the summer.

Somehow I haven't read anything by Bill Bryson yet, so I should probably start with that one.
