  1. Yes! 2018 was a great year for me. I got married and had a baby. I also revamped my blog in February, so lots has happened. But I'm eager for 2019 to arrive so I can see what happens then. Maybe it'll be just as good a year!

  3. My book club read A Gentleman in Moscow, but I never got around to it. I've heard it is slow, but good.

  5. A Gentleman in Moscow is a great book. I read it last year and really enjoyed it. I'm envious that you got to read Death on the Nile while actually on the Nile! Happy reading in 2019. :)

  7. Oh that would be so cool reading Death on the Nile while ON the Nile! How fun. And yay for favorite books! I read a lot of suspense in 2018 and loved it, and in '19 I'm hoping to read more urban fantasy.

    1. I love urban fantasy and suspense books, too. I'm hoping to branch out this year and read a little more science fiction and historical fiction. And reading Death on the Nile while on the Nile was so cool! One of my best bookish days yet. :)

    I can imagine how reading Murder on the Nile, while being on the Nile was an absolute hightlight!!

    1. I'm currently reading #7 (Burned) and loving it so far. Jacka has a new book coming out this summer and I want to have read the rest of his series by then. (Fingers crossed!)

  10. Hi Lark, Thanks for posting a list of your favorite books from 2018. I must start reading Benedict Jacka since his books sounds like a really good urban fantasy series. But before that I will check out A Gentleman in Moscow. If you chose it as your top book for 2018, that's all the incentive I need to give the book a try.

    I haven't read any of your "best books" yet (unless you count Death on the Nile), but The Lost For Words Bookshop is on my list to read, hopefully in 2019.
