Top Ten Tuesday...

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's theme:  Book Covers That Feel Like Summer.

I, of course, immediately thought of covers with beaches on them, because THE BEACH always feels like the epitome of summer to me. Like these three lovely, summery covers:

But there are other things that scream summer to me...like ICE CREAM...

and CAMPING!

And then there are those fun summer outdoor activities like HIKING...

and RAFTING...

and, of course, SWIMMING!

And no summer is complete without at least one ROAD TRIP read:

But my favorite SUMMER covers still have to be these:

Happy Reading!

  1. Some lovely covers there, Lark. So, so summery.
My favourite would be "The Road Trip". So British.

    1. I loved the books you picked for this week's TTT. The hardest part for me was narrowing it down to ten (or twelve!) because there are so many fun summery covers out there to choose from. :)

  12. I think designing book covers is an art in and of itself. Its main goal is to catch the browser's attention and draw him/her in. The examples that you have shown do that very well.

  18. I'm actually in the middle of The Middle of Somewhere right now! I had to tear it away from myself because it made me feel I NEED to go hiking now, like immediately, and I want to save the rest as a reward for finishing an hour or so of trails.

I love the structure of this post too, you have definitely covered all the bases with summer activities! Every cover is perf for this theme; lots of interesting-looking books on this list that I might use for similar motivation to do other fun summer things.

  21. OMG! Chiggers. That reminds me of the summer I spent on my aunt and uncle's farm in Texas. My cousins and I went exploring in the brush and when I got back to my aunt's house, I had to take a bath with clorox to kill any chiggers I might have gotten. Fortunately, it did the trick.
