Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's theme is supposed to be "Hilarious Book Titles" but I honestly couldn't come up with any, so I'm going rogue instead. 

Here's my list of Ten Books with August in the Title:

    Brilliant idea, Lark. I just noticed that I read five books with August in the title, including the ones by Pete Hamill, William Faulkner and Victoria Hislop, all three brilliant novels.
    My TTT this week is also a little off the way.

      Hahaha, yes, you are right, especially Victoria Hislop, I've read all her books because she is so fantastic. Did you know she was awarded honorary Greek citizenship for writing her books?

      It is. And she totally deserves it. And the funny thing, now with Brexit causing them all problems, she still has a European (EU) passport. Double win.

    I didn't know there were so many books with August in the title! I don't think I've read any, but I would like to read One August Night as I've enjoyed others by Victoria Hislop.

    That's a great TTT topic you've there, Lark. So many books with the "August" title! I've not read any of them but I'm intrigued by Dark August and the book by Callan Wink.

      Who knew there were so many titles with August in them? I think Dark August looks like a fun read; I want to read that one, too. :)

    Interesting. The only one of those that I've read is the Faulkner book which is one of my favorites of his.

      That's good to know! I've mostly only read Faulkner's short stories. Someday I need to give his novels a go.

    For some reason I like it when books use months in the title. Not sure why. :) Anyway One August Night looks intriguing, and so does August Heat.

    This is such a fun topic! These are all new to me, but it's so interesting seeing all the different books with August in the title. I never realized there were so many. :D

    I never think to do a post like this! To my knowledge I have never read any books with "August" in the title, nor do I have any on my Goodreads list!!! So fascinating.

    Great idea! There are so many titles with the word "August". The only book on your list that I'm familiar with is The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew.

    I just checked and I don't have any books with August in the title. I'm kind of surprised. I don't think I'd be able to find very many funny book titles either. Great substitution! :)

    Your list is giving me flashbacks to freshman English in college! We had to read Light in August, and all I can remember is how much I hated it! :) But besides that, fun list! I like your choice for a topic!

      I had to read a few of Faulkner's short stories in high school and didn't love them, so I've never tried any of his novels.

    I just finished Light in August for my classics list! It's Faulkner alright... August Heat was pretty good, I thought--I like Camilleri, and I also had Guns of August on my classics club list & read it a while ago.
