Top Ten Tuesday...

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's theme? Favorite Heroines.

I narrowed my list down to 10 by going with favorite heroines who are smart, gutsy and fierce.

1. Mina Harker
(from Bram Stoker's Dracula)

2. Mercy Thompson
(from Patricia Briggs' series)

3. Lizbeth Rose
(from Charlaine Harris' Gunnie Rose series)

4. Casey Duncan
(from Kelley Armstrong's Rockton series)

5. Hero Jarvis
(from C.S. Harris's Sebastian St. Cyr series)

6. Nancy Drew!!
(Do I need to say more?)

7. Ellie Jordan
(from J.L. Bryan's Ghost Trapper series)

8. Ada von Hasenberg
(from Jessie Mihalik's Polaris Rising)

9. Alexia Tarabotti
(from Gail Carriger's Parason Protectorate series)

10. Dagny Taggert
(from Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged)

Happy Reading!

  3. Haaa, no, you don't need to say much more than 'Nancy Drew'!

  4. Yes, Nancy Drew is one of the best heroines ever! Mina Harker is a good choice too. Great list!

  5. I only know Mina Harker, never read any of the others, not even Nancy Drew (which shows again that I am not American, LOL). I couldn't do a list like that. I once had one with a female character in alphabetical order but that's a long time ago.
    Well done.

    2. Yes, she is. But totally unknown in most of Europe.

  6. I like your list and it contained several that I've been meaning to 'meet'. Glad that Casey Duncan made your list. The new Armstrong book about the 'new' Rockton is out today and my thoughts will be 'live' on Thursday. Hint - I loved the new book! Nancy Drew was so important to me when I was very young. She and her friends, George and Bess, helped my love of mysteries be cemented in my life. LOL
