I love this clock:
(Does your day ever feel like this, or is it just me?)
(I'm looking forward to reading the rest of Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs' mysteries some time in the near future. Or at least some time this year. Or next.)
I checked out some fun books from the library yesterday:
The Wild Lands by Paul Greci
Gone Too Deep by Katie Ruggle
Lost Girls by Merrie Destefano
Time to Die by Caroline Mitchell
Woman 99 by Greer Macallister
Seven Dead by J. Jefferson Farjeon
But I think I'm most excited to read this one:
And last, but certainly not least....
Happy Easter!!
My day quite often feels like that clock-all over the place! I have at least one day like that every week! I have the Becky Chambers book and it sounds like it has interesting characters in it. I hope we both enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI'm crossing my fingers it's as good as it looks. :)
DeleteThat clock design is nice, though it'll always remind me of the hectic times ahead, lol. Hope you enjoy those library books! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody! Have a great weekend. :)
DeleteOh yes, that clock feels all too familiar :)
ReplyDeleteOur libraries are closed for the Easter/Passover weekend, and while I'm happy for the librarians, my Saturday feels off-balance without a trip to the library. At least the website is still working, so I could put the Becky Chambers book on hold.
My library closed for a few months once for renovations and it was awful! I really missed it.
DeleteMy FIL has that clock. It's hilarious and so true some days!
ReplyDeleteI read the first Maisie Dobbs book and liked it, but never went on with the series for some reason. I have all the books -- I just need to catch up.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
Thanks, Susan! (And needing to catch up on a series feels like my middle name sometimes. ;D )
DeleteI have enjoyed the Maisie Dobbs series! Especially the first ones where you meet the characters and the post WWI setting! Your library books have interesting titles, and I haven't read the authors before. Hope you have good weather for Easter Sunday!
ReplyDeleteThanks! So far we have sunshine for Easter. :)
DeleteI loved Long Way sooo much. And I've been thinking of trying Maisie Dobbs for a while. Also... Lost Girls by DeStefano? I LOVED that book, and I never see anyone talking about!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!!! Love that pic!
I'm really excited for both Long Way and Lost Girls! They look like awesome reads. :D
DeleteI want that clock! That is so perfect. I see that have it a Cafe Press. I am so tempted . . . LOL
ReplyDeleteThe Becky Chambers book is one I really want to read as well. I have heard only good things about it. And I will read a Katie Ruggle book one of these days. Soon. Maybe this summer. I hope you have a great week, Lark!
Isn't it a great clock? I love it. And the one Katie Ruggle book I've read I totally loved, too. I hope you have a great week, too, Wendy! :D
DeleteHappy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like The Long Way To An Angry Planet! I love the series, but it is very character driven which I know has put some readers off.
I've also heard good things about Woman99 and Maisie Dobbs.
I'm finding the world-building in The Long Way to an Angry Planet very impressive. I don't think I could have dreamed up so many alien races or strange cultures. And I'm excited to read Woman 99. Have a great week! :D
DeleteI have to make a library pit stop today at lunch. Hope I find some goodies. That clock pretty much represents my whole week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some good books! And I know what you mean about the clock and your week. Mine goes like that, too. :D
DeleteHaha, I love that clock too. I hope you had a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thank you! :D
DeleteThat clock is so great! Some days are definitely like that. Hope you had a nice Easter! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ashley! I hope you had a wonderful Easter, too. :D
DeleteOh that clock! It completely captures my reality.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it perfect? I need it in at least one room of my house. Maybe more. :)
DeleteGone Too Deep is one of my favorites by Katie Ruggle! Hope you love it, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read it! :D
DeleteI hope you had a great Easter. That clock is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kami!
