  1. It's funny, a famous author said in one of her 'books about books' that reviews don't need to be endless, a few sentences about the plot is enough. And every time you do one of these wonderful Haiku posts you prove that. I now want to read all of these books. :-)

    1. I'm glad these books sound good to you. I really enjoyed them all. And I love the Ellery Hathaway series by Schaffhausen; if you decide to read those, be sure to start with the first book, The Vanishing Season. It's awesome!

  6. These short reviews, I'm willing to bet, are a whole lot harder to produce than they look. Well done, Lark, as always.

    1. Hi, Sam! Some haikus are easier to write than others; and some take me several attempts, and even then they're not quite what I want them to be. I hope you're doing well. :)

  7. I say this every time, but it is true. I love your Haiku reviews. My husband used to do three sentence reviews on Goodreads and they were very succinct and to the point. I wish he still did those.

I don't think I want to read Last Seen Alive, but your review of that is perfect.

    1. That haiku came together really fast. The other two were harder to get right this time. And I like the idea of your husband's three sentence reviews. :)

  12. I'm reading the Josie Quinn series, but in and out of order. It doesn't seem to affect my enjoyment though.

I love poetry and haikus are fun. I've read all but the newest in the Schaffhausen series, so I shouldn't forget about that one. Have a good week.

    1. I hope it's not the end of the series either, but if it is at least they're ending up together which makes me happy. :)
