I've done posts similar to this one before with Favorite Settings and Irresistible Premises & Plots. So I decided to tweak this week's TTT a tiny bit and go with...

DeleteIt's always fun to see what draws others to pick up books. I haven't read too many remote island settings but there have been a couple that I really enjoyed.

DeleteMost of these are ones that appeal to me as well. I especially love remote settings - they ramp up the tension in a book and just add an exotic element that I can't get enough of.

They really do! I love extreme settings like the Arctic or Antarctica for that same reason.

DeleteA lot of these tempt me too! Search and rescue dogs, snowed-in, remote island, wilderness survival, homesteading, and crumbling ancestral estate! This would've been a difficult TTT for me and you worked it brilliantly! :)

DeleteYes to 100% of these! My greatest disappointment is that my family has failed to leave me a crumbling ancestral estate with attics full of treasures! I love anything involving treasures and stolen art and can never resist any book with dogs - especially working dogs.
