Haiku Reviews...

The Drowning Girls by Lisa Regan

When one of their own
goes missing, Detective Quinn
and her team fear the worst.

Mystery .... 343 pages .... 3.5/5 stars.
(13 books in and I'm still really enjoying this series!)

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

Her past. His future.
Seven years apart. One chance
to find lasting love.

Romance .... 326 pages .... 4.5/5 stars.
(This is a moving and magical read! I loved Iwan and Clementine.)

Play For Me by Libby Hubscher

Sophie and Jonas:
sports trainer vs. pianist.
Is love their music?

Romance .... 334 pages .... 4/5 stars.
(She's optimistic and feisty; he's handsome and grumpy. Opposites attract in this cute romance.)

Just Don't Fall by Emma St. Clair

Can she fake date her
hockey-playing childhood crush
without losing her heart?

Romantic comedy .... 308 pages .... 5/5 stars.
(Humorous banter, sunshine and a grump, and a long overdue first kiss. I loved this one!)

Happy Reading!

  1. The Sweater Weather series looks really cute and fun. I can't handle those blank faces, though! They creep me out. Ha ha.

    1. Thanks, Dorothy! I'm always happy when I can come up with a haiku for a book instead of writing a longer review. ;D

  12. Great job, as usual. Gotta be tough to describe a book in so few words, yet make it fit the right pattern you need. The Drowning Girls sounds interesting.

    1. There are some books where it just doesn't work. At all. I got lucky with these four reads. And I really enjoy the Lisa Regan series...but you do really need to start with the first one, Vanishing Girls, if you decide to read them.
