Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is COVERS WITH AN ITEM OF YOUR CHOICE ON THE COVER.
And I decided to go with CLOCKS. Because I just had to change all of mine...again. And could we please choose one time, either Daylight or Standard, and stick with it? I'm so tired of having to change my clocks, both inner and outer, twice a year. But these covers with clocks on them are kind of awesome.
Hooked by Emily McIntire
The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk
Timekeeper by Tara Sim
The Betrayals by Bridget Collins
The Love Proof by Madeleine Henry
The Watchmaker's Daughter by C.J. Archer
The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton
Bellman & Black by Diane Setterfield
The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene
Happy Reading!
OMG this is the perfect choice for this week! I love your selections, and I agree, I'm so tired of this totally unnecessary time change!
ReplyDeleteRight? Pick a time people and stick with it! Switching back and forth just feels so unnecessary. Plus, it makes me tired. ;D
DeleteI love your theme! I'm so sick of changing the clocks (and complaining about it twice a year!) The Midnight Bargain was such a great book, and it makes me smile to see the Nancy Drew book. Great post!
ReplyDeleteGotta have Nancy Drew! She's the best. :D
DeleteI'm tired of changing my clocks too. This was a really cool theme though! Clocks make for some great covers! Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read most of these books, but they are some very cool covers.
DeleteI feel the same way about Daylight Savings Time.

Changing clocks twice a year sucks. I hate it. But I loved making this post. :D
DeleteOhhh, clocks is a good one! I wish that the clocks didn't fall back in real life because my kids are a mess! haha.
ReplyDeleteRight? It totally messes up children's routines; I work in an elementary school and the kids have been complaining about being hungry and tired all week.
DeleteThis is a great topic idea! Clocks are interesting.

I thought some of these covers were very cool.
DeleteLove all the clocks, but The Secret of the Old Clock will always hold a special place in my heart. I did used to love to read Nancy Drew stories!
ReplyDeleteNancy Drew is awesome. I still kind of love her. ;D
DeleteI love this topic! So perfect for today!!
ReplyDeleteI almost did fall leaves on the cover, but then I thought of clocks and knew it was what I had to do. A little bookish inspiration. ;D
DeleteA great item to feature this week! Time changes need to go away! I hate it being dark before dinner.

I hate that, too! And I hate how it throws my sleep off even more. Boo to changing times twice a year. ;D
DeleteI love all those clock covers! I've read The Seven Dials Mystery, The Clockmaker's Daughter and Bellman & Black. I wish we could just stick with one time too - it seems so unnecessary to keep changing.
ReplyDeleteIt does feel very unnecessary! Maybe it made sense once, but it doesn't any more.
DeleteFun topic choice for this weeks TTT post!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was proud of myself for thinking of something pertinent because I usually can't. :D
DeleteThose are all interesting book covers.
ReplyDeleteThey make me want to check out some of these books and see what they're about. ;D
DeleteVery apropos! Yes, I wish they'd just stick with one time. :/
ReplyDeleteI don't even care which one they choose!
DeleteOoooh, I ALMOST did this same topic! I love it.
ReplyDeleteFun fact: We don't do Daylight Savings time in Arizona. It's really nice not to have to worry about that at all.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I'm so jealous that you don't do Daylight Savings Time in Arizona! Almost makes me want to move there. ;D
DeleteClocks were a great choice! All of these covers look amazing! I love the cover for The Midnight Bargain the most :)

There were a lot of fun clock covers to choose from, but these were my favorite of the bunch. :D
DeleteWhat a bunch of fun covers. I've only read two--probably not hard to guess which!
ReplyDelete:D Could it be the Agatha Christie and the Nancy Drew?
DeleteWhat a great idea! I love old clocks. That Nancy Drew book brings back SO many great memories. Happy Wednesday, Lark!
ReplyDeleteI knew I had to include Nancy Drew on this post. That first one is a favorite of mine. :D
DeleteThis is a great theme! And even though I know you originally did this idea out of annoyance with the time change, I love how elegant these covers look. :)
ReplyDeleteAren't they great? There are so many I now want to read. :D
DeleteI just don't even bother changing the time on my clocks that don't change on their own (which most of the clocks in my house are connected to the internet so they update automatically). It confuses me when my husband eventually changes the time on the microwave though, because I'm usually accustomed to adjusting for the house difference at that point.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by my blog earlier this week. - Katie
It's my car that I never seem to get around to changing, so then I always have a moment of panic that first week thinking I'm late to work. ;D
DeleteWhat a great topic, I must remember that for the next freebie.
ReplyDeleteAnd there are a lot of cool covers with clocks on them. :D
DeleteYes. I can think of at least half a dozen without even checking.
DeleteI love this topic and didn't realize how much I love clocks on a cover until I was looking through this list! I have the Kate Morton and have read the Nancy Drew countless times but haven't read any of the others!
ReplyDeletePS - saw your comment on my blog. The possum was the absolute sweetest and so affectionate. I liked hanging out with him about as much as the wolves!
He was a cutie! And so fun that your son got to hold him. :D
DeleteLove that you included Nancy Drew, yay! I like these clock covers.
ReplyDeleteNancy Drew is the best! :D
