Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme: BOOKS ON MY SPRING 2025 TO READ LIST.
Though my spring To Read list is certainly not set in stone; it's more a list of possible reads, and might change at any moment as my mood changes. But here are twelve books I'm thinking about reading this month and next.
World's Greatest Sleuth! by Steve Hockensmith
The Family Experiment by John Marrs
Cloaked in Beauty by Karen Witemeyer
A Lady's Guide to Scandal by Sophie Irwin
A Whisper of Death by Darcy Burke
Deep Freeze by Michael G. Grumley
Starter Villain by John Scalzi
In the Hour of Crows by Dana Elmendorf
Lying Beside You by Michael Robotham
The Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love by India Holton
Nemesis by Gregg Hurwitz
Cold As Hell by Kelley Armstrong
Happy Reading!
A Lady's Guide to Scandal is fun! I hope you enjoy it, as well as all the other books you read this spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read that one. I need fun books in my life right now. :D
DeletePrepare to be 'cold' (yes, actually) with Cold As Hell. Ha! It's a good one though. You've got a couple of others that I'm interested in on your list. Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to read Cold as Hell! I just checked it out of the library and can feel it calling to me. ;D
DeleteThe Family Experiment sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I'm excited to read that one. I really loved his book The One.
DeleteI still need to read Starter Villain, too. And, yeah, my TBR lists are never set in stone either.
ReplyDeleteI like giving myself room in my reading life for serendipity and for changing moods. But I do really want to read these twelve books. :D I hope you enjoy Starter Villain!
DeleteI will eventually get to that series by Karen Witemeyer, I haven't started it yet, but it's on my radar. I hope you enjoy the ones you do get to!
ReplyDeleteI have several books by Witemeyer on my TBR list and thought I better get some of them read this spring before she writes more! ;D
DeleteEnjoy.

Thanks, Regine. :D
DeleteHappy reading!

:D Thank you!
DeleteOh Kelley Armstrong I have so many of her books piling up. I still need to finish Rockton and start the spinoff!
ReplyDeleteThe spinoff is just as good if not better. I'm just excited to be able to keep reading about Eric and Casey. I love these characters. :D
DeleteI'm hoping to read the Holton book this year. I hope you enjoy reading all of these in the coming months.

The Holton book does sound like a lot of fun. :D
DeleteMy lists are subject to change at any point, too. I never manage to read everything on the list!
ReplyDeleteStarter Villain sounds like so much fun; it's on my TBR list, but not in the top 10. Read the Holton book when you want something absolutely light, fluffy, and wildly wacky.
The Holton book sounds like a lot of fun! And I really do want to read Starter Villain sooner rather than later. Wish me luck. :D
DeleteNice list!!! I was going to do this TTT post, but considering my reading tastes completely changes for my winter 'tbr' list, I decided to just play it by ear what I am going to read during the spring. Good luck with your reading goals.
ReplyDeleteI've been playing it by ear more with my reading this year, too. I don't really want to be tied to lists, but I do have books on my radar to read next month, so we'll see what happens. :D
DeleteI would like to read the John Marrs book! Enjoy, I hope you get to read a bunch of these.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm hoping the Marrs book ends up being as good as The One. :D
DeleteA Lady's Guide to Scandal looks like something I'll have to put on my TBR. That's right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that one look like fun? Thanks for commenting! :D
DeleteA Lady's Guide to Scandal looks and sounds good!! I hope you get to all of these and enjoy them all. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm really excited for that one. For all of them really. :D
DeleteAll new to me. The Sophie Irwin book, the title draws me in.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great title, isn't it? :D
DeleteI'm on the library waiting list for the audiobook of COLD AS HELL. It shouldn't be TOO long now...LOL. I hope you enjoy all these!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I hope it comes soon! I'm so excited to read Cold as Hell; I just checked it out of the library last weekend. :D
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these! I need to get back to that Karen Witemeyer series. I loved the first book. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first book was super fun. :D
DeleteI need to read some John Marrs and Kelley Armstrong is one of my favorite authors. I haven't read the series this book is from yet though. Great list.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Marrs' The One, and am excited to try another book by him. And I absolutely love Kelley Armstrong; especially her Rockton series. :D
DeleteI've only read Nemesis, but have a few others on my TBR shelf. You have a very nice mix of books, Lark. I hope you enjoy them all when you get to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of Nemesis right now, and while I love Evan Smoak, his fight with Tommy is making me a little sad.
DeleteGood luck! I loved Starter Villain (the audiobook is awesome), and I see Kelley Armstrong on your list... and I really need to make time to continue the Rockton series and then get to Haven's Rock. Hope you enjoy all of these!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to get caught up with Eric and Casey! And I'm very much looking forward to Starter Villain.
DeleteKaren Witemeyer is very popular with my library patrons. I’m curious about her fairytale series. (I’m not sure if that’s what it’s called). Isn’t Cloaked in Beauty part of that series?
ReplyDeleteIt is part of that series. I read the first one, Fairest of Heart, and really enjoyed it.
DeleteOh... I hope you read A Lady's Guide to Scandal!!! :-D
ReplyDelete:D I'm hoping to check it out of the library next month.
DeleteMy list is definitely not set in stone either!! I can only hope I manage to read some of them. Cold as Hell and World's Greatest Sleuth! sound amazing. I hope you'll love all these books when you read them :)

Thank you! :D
DeleteCold as Hell is definitely on my TBR and now I need to look at the rest of the books because I'm unfamilair with them!
ReplyDeleteCareful...that's how TBR lists grow and grow. ;D
DeleteAs you know, I loved Cold as Hell and Nemesis. Hope you do, too! I want to read that John Scalzi one. He's so funny. Great list, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteScalzi is funny. I'm looking forward to reading that one. :D
DeleteOkay, you have to read Ornithologist's Field Guide to Love--sounds incredibly cute and I may need to snag it if you like it.
ReplyDeleteI have it on my list and hope to get to it soon! It does sound really fun. :D
DeleteOh I thought you already read Cold as Hell. Maybe that was that another one. I'll look to hear what you think about the Michael Robotham book. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteI did read another book called Cold as Hell but it was by a different author; this Kelley Armstrong Cold as Hell is the newest bok in her Haven's Rock series.
DeleteInteresting list, Lark. I don't know any of those authors, so I'm looking forward to your reviews.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my Top 5 this week. I left a message on your original clock post but it doesn't show up, I suppose you have to allow it first. If you can't find it, let me know.
https://momobookblog.blogspot.com/2025/03/top-tuesday-covers-with-clocks.html
I found your other comment and 'allowed' it so all is well. :D And I'm hopeful that there are many good books on this list. We'll see.
DeleteThanks. There are always good books on your lists. Life is just too short to read them all. LOL
DeleteThat could be the mantra of my life! ;D
DeleteAnd mine.
