Randomness....

I love this clock:

(Does your day ever feel like this, or is it just me?)

I recently read a new favorite character in a new favorite series:

(I'm looking forward to reading the rest of Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs' mysteries some time in the near future. Or at least some time this year. Or next.)

I checked out some fun books from the library yesterday:

The Wild Lands by Paul Greci
Gone Too Deep by Katie Ruggle
Lost Girls by Merrie Destefano
Time to Die by Caroline Mitchell
Woman 99 by Greer Macallister
Seven Dead by J. Jefferson Farjeon

But I think I'm most excited to read this one:

(Because I've heard it's really good.)

And last, but certainly not least....

Happy Easter!!

  1. My day quite often feels like that clock-all over the place! I have at least one day like that every week! I have the Becky Chambers book and it sounds like it has interesting characters in it. I hope we both enjoy it!

  2. That clock design is nice, though it'll always remind me of the hectic times ahead, lol. Hope you enjoy those library books! :)

  3. Oh yes, that clock feels all too familiar :)

Our libraries are closed for the Easter/Passover weekend, and while I'm happy for the librarians, my Saturday feels off-balance without a trip to the library. At least the website is still working, so I could put the Becky Chambers book on hold.

    1. My library closed for a few months once for renovations and it was awful! I really missed it.

  4. My FIL has that clock. It's hilarious and so true some days!

I read the first Maisie Dobbs book and liked it, but never went on with the series for some reason. I have all the books -- I just need to catch up.

Happy Easter to you and yours!

    1. Thanks, Susan! (And needing to catch up on a series feels like my middle name sometimes. ;D )

  5. I have enjoyed the Maisie Dobbs series! Especially the first ones where you meet the characters and the post WWI setting! Your library books have interesting titles, and I haven't read the authors before. Hope you have good weather for Easter Sunday!

  7. I want that clock! That is so perfect. I see that have it a Cafe Press. I am so tempted . . . LOL

The Becky Chambers book is one I really want to read as well. I have heard only good things about it. And I will read a Katie Ruggle book one of these days. Soon. Maybe this summer. I hope you have a great week, Lark!

  8. Happy Easter!

I hope you like The Long Way To An Angry Planet! I love the series, but it is very character driven which I know has put some readers off.

I've also heard good things about Woman99 and Maisie Dobbs.

    1. I'm finding the world-building in The Long Way to an Angry Planet very impressive. I don't think I could have dreamed up so many alien races or strange cultures. And I'm excited to read Woman 99. Have a great week! :D
