Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's theme: ONE-WORD REVIEWS FOR THE LAST 10 BOOKS I READ. Only my list is just 5 books this week...October was a rough reading month with lots of DNFs and so-so reads. But I liked most of these:

The Monk by Tim Sullivan:  irresistible

Murder on Threadneedle Street by Andrea Penrose:  immersive

I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie by Jaclyn Smith:  nostalgic

Well Versed by Jen DeLuca:  disappointing

The Bloodied Client by Peter Kirkland:  compelling

Until next time... Happy Reading!

  1. Sorry to hear Well Versed was disappointing! The Monk looks good😁

  2. I hadn't come across the Jaclyn Smith memoir before. I'm sure it's very nostalgic! Too bad you felt Well Versed was disappointing. I liked it a lot (and was so happy to be back in the Ren Faire setting)

  3. This is one of my favorite topics and you've got some great books. I really need to get back to that Andrea Penrose series. I really liked what I read so far. Too bad about Well Versed but I guess every book can't be a winner.

  5. Quite the mixed bag in October. Hopefully you've got some better titles on your stack for the month ahead!

  6. I've not read any of these, Lark, but I'm hearing such good things about those Tim Sullivan books. Planning on trying them - probably in 2027. Good job!
