Bookish anticipation...

"....anticipation is an important part of life....you're
cheating yourself if you refuse to enjoy what's coming."
--Nicholas Sparks.

I have a lot of favorite authors with new books coming out this year ... books that I am eagerly awaiting! Here are just a few:

Coming March 5th ... the new Patricia Briggs!

Then, on April 2nd, I have two books to look forward to...
one by Anna Lee Huber and one by C.S. Harris:

And on April 30th there's a new Victoria Thompson:

June's looking good because of this new Benedict Jacka coming out on the 6th:

Then, on July 16th there's this new one by Linda Castillo:

Last, but not least, Christina Henry has a new book coming out on August 13th:

Isn't bookish anticipation the best?
What books are you eagerly awaiting?

Happy Reading!

  2. New books are always a joy, especially from our favourite authors. :) I'm currently looking forward to upcoming books by C.J. Tudor, Riley Sager, Lisa See and Lisa Kleypas. I'm sure there're a few more but could only think of these authors at the moment.

    1. You could be right about Who Slays the Wicked (though Amazon is still saying April 2nd is the release date). Whichever day it is, I'm just excited to read the next Sebastian St. Clair installment! :D

  6. I have a gift card waiting for the new Patricia Briggs - and there should be a new Anne Bishop coming out around the same time. They usually do a signing together here in Houston, which I missed last year (the first after discovering their books), but I haven't seen anything scheduled yet.

  8. Well, there are least three or four series in that batch that I've been meaning to start! Maybe this will be the year. I put the first Alex Verus book on hold at the library.

    1. Linda Castillo is a good author; and I really enjoy the Amish setting in her mysteries. (Her main character grew up Amish but is now the sheriff.)

  15. I've fallen a bit behind on my Anna Lee Huber books but always a treat to read her series. And, I'm also looking forward to Victoria Thompson's latest gaslight mystery. The last installment was a bit disappointing so I hope this one gets back on track. I just felt like Sarah & Frank were kind of in the background so hopefully there is more of a spotlight on them than other characters.
