Snowed In by Catherine Walsh
Megan and Christian
team up to survive Christmas
with their families.
Romantic comedy .... 336 pages .... 4/5 stars.
(Fun fake dating holiday romance set in Ireland. Walsh's first book, Holiday Romance, is even cuter.)
The Christmas You Found Me by Sarah Morgenthaler
Sienna marries
a stranger to help him and his sweet,
but very ill, daughter.
Romance .... 291 pages .... 5/5 stars.
(Have Kleenex nearby when you read this one; it totally made me cry.)
One Big Happy Family by Susan Mallery
A quiet Christmas?
Not with her kids, her boyfriend's
kids, his ex, and a dog.
Contemporary fiction .... 316 pages .... 4/5 stgars.
(Unexpected guests, humorous banter, a secret or two, confessions of love, family, friends and exes all in one cabin at Christmas made this a fun read.)
Happy Reading!
I always love your haikus. Feels like I know everything about the books already. LOL
ReplyDelete:D My hope is to at least give you a taste of each book.
DeleteYou certainly do.
DeleteThe Christmas You Found Me sounds wonderful... but I'm not sure my heart could take it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a good kind of cry. This book just tugs at your heart. Especially the author's note at the end.
DeleteYour haikus are always fun! I don't read many Christmas stories but usually enjoy them when I do.
ReplyDeleteI start reading them in November and they help get me in the holiday mood.
DeleteGreat haikus, always enjoy them. One Big Happy Family sounds like my kind of thing. Especially the cabin setting!
ReplyDeleteI think One Big Happy Family is one you would really enjoy. :D
DeleteI always look forward to your haikus, Lark! All three of these books sound like wonderful Christmas reads. Glad you enjoyed them! :D
ReplyDeleteThey were all very fun. I'm glad I read them. :D
DeleteThese haiku reviews are fun and I love a nice holiday read.
ReplyDeleteMe, too. They just put you in a good mood. :D
DeleteLark, you are so talented and it shows with these haikus! I have One Big Happy Family on my Kindle and may get to it in the next few days. I'm reading The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year right now and really liking it so far!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you're liking that one. I thought it was just a lot of fun. :D
DeleteI think I'll check out Walsh's Holiday Romance! The Christmas You Found Me sounds like something I'd have to prepare myself for! Wonderful reviews, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteYou'd love The Christmas You Found Me. It's got a great ending, there are just emotional moments in it that'll bring a tear or two to your eyes. And I did really enjoy Holiday Romance; it totally made me laugh.
DeleteThese do sound fun, and love the haikus as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've been in a Christmas romance mood this month, can you tell? ;D
DeleteI really want to read The Christmas You Found Me (long library wait!!) -- but had no idea I'd need tissues. Thanks for the warning!
ReplyDeleteThere are some tender and emotional moments in it, but the ending is so good. I loved this one.
DeleteThose sound fun for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy a Christmas romance this time of year. :D
DeleteThey all sound good but I totally can't do one that's going to make me cry!
ReplyDeleteEven if it's a good cry? This is not a book that'll break your heart and leave you sad; but it is a book that'll tug at your heart and leave you happy at the end.
DeleteThis sounds so fun. I love it. Wishing you a great day!
ReplyDeleteRampdiary
Thank you.
DeleteEnjoyed your haiku reviews, as always.
ReplyDeleteThank you. That means a lot. :D
DeleteLooks like you found some great holiday reads.
ReplyDeleteI got lucky. Some of the other Christmas romances I tried were not so good.
DeleteLove the haiku reviews! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have a wonderful week, too. :D
DeleteI opt to be snowed in though I'm not sure how much snow they get in Ireland ... we will see about surviving Christmas with family. :-)
ReplyDeleteSurviving family at Christmas can be tricky. And also humorous. :D
DeleteI need to read a Christmas book ASAP! These are some great recommendations!
ReplyDeleteI start getting in that Christmas mood a few weeks before Thanksgiving, so that's when I start looking for a fun romance or two. :D
DeleteOh all of these sound wonderful and perfect for Christmas reading! Snowed In especially looks like one I'd enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSnowed In was fun. I enjoyed the humor in it.
DeleteThree wonderful sounding books.
ReplyDeleteThey're all really good. :D
