Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is all about fun holiday/seasonal books, whether they have to do with winter, or Christmas, or snow.
I didn't really have a plan for this one...I just found ten covers that I thought were fun. Here they are:
Blizzard by John Rocco
The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Magic Under the Mistletoe by Lucy Coleman
Her Christmas Cowboy by Jessica Clare
Snowbound by Kim Golden
The Christmas Wish List by Heidi Swain
The Illustrated History of the Snowman by Bob Eckstein
Mystery at the Ski Jump by Carolyn Keene
Happy Reading!
Blizzard looks like a fun read.
ReplyDeleteMy post.
Isn't that a cute cover?
DeleteBlizzard has such a great cover. I used to love snow days as a kid. My parents worked for the Board of Education and I always knew before anyone else that there wouldn't be school the following day - heck it was up to my Dad to decide. It made me very popular during the winter months - haha.
ReplyDeleteI just finished In a Holidaze last night - it was ok. At least it was festive.
Snow days as a kid were the best! We didn't get them too often though because we're so used to snow here in Utah. I haven't read In a Holidaze yet, but it's on my list.
DeleteI'm attracted to any book with a snowy cover. :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! :D
DeleteThose are fun covers! I remember loving The Long Winter when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorite Laura Ingalls Wilder books. :) Thanks for commenting!
DeleteThey are all great winter-themed covers! I really enjoyed The Snow Child.
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Child was a good book. I liked that one, too. :)
DeleteThese are all so great! I especially love the cover for Blizzard.
ReplyDeleteI love that cover, too! :D
DeleteLovely list! The first two made me smile especially because they remind me of how happy my siblings and I always were when we got a snow day from school. We'd run outside and build snowmen, have snowball fights, make snow forts, etc. So fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Snow days were awesome! And I loved building snow forts. And snow horses. :D
DeleteIn a Holidaze was such a good read. I loved that one.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read that one! :)
DeleteI love that cover of Blizzard. And Holidaze as well- all the green. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Long Winter- that takes me back. And ooh you snuck a Nancy Drew in here as well- love that one!!!
As soon as I saw that Nancy Drew cover I knew I had to include it! I love the snowman in the background. :)
DeleteVery nice covers. I like The Snow Child the best' followed by Snowbound.
ReplyDeleteSnow is so atmospheric.
Snow is atmospheric! I'm always drawn to books with snowy covers. :)
DeleteThe Long Winter is one of the best books I've ever read about desperate times in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI really love The Long Winter. I've lost count of how many times I've read it. :)
DeleteAlways love a wintry-look covers! I'm curious with In A Holidaze as I've seen this book around on many sites.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fun, doesn't it? :D
DeleteI’ve only read The Long Winter. I loved the Little House series as a child.
ReplyDeleteI loved that series, too! I must have read all the books a dozen times. :)
DeleteI've always liked the cover for Magic Under the Mistletoe ... and the rest of the book is pretty dang good too!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear. I haven't read that one...yet. :) Thanks for commenting!
DeleteLoved Her Christmas Cowboy and it is such a pretty cover, right? Gotta love a Nancy Drew! Great picks, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read Her Christmas Cowboy! :D
DeleteI absolutely loved The Snow Child! I was lucky enough to read an ARC of it way back when.
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Child is one I really loved, too. In fact, it was one of the first books I reviewed here on my blog. :)
DeleteLooks like a little seasonal reading might be on tap.
ReplyDeleteMaybe just a little! ;D

ReplyDeleteIsn't that a cute cover? :)
DeleteI don't remember that Nancy Drew mystery and I read most of them! Love the cover and the setting :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that particular Nancy Drew either, but I kind of want to now. :)
DeleteThese look great! I enjoyed In a Holidaze. The Long Winter is one of my favorite all time books. It's amazing what the Ingalls and town of De Smet had to survive that winter!
ReplyDeleteI love The Long Winter! I think it's the reason I'm such a fan of snowed in novels now. :)
DeleteGreat selection of books! I really enjoyed In a Holidaze!! I wish I would have read it now.. instead of back in October. I'm still not sure why it was released then!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was weird timing. I hope I can get a copy before Christmas. :)
DeleteI think that is the happiest cover I've ever seen for a book with the title Blizzard LOL!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a fun one? I think it's my favorite. :)
DeleteSuch fun covers! I hadn't realized this was the theme for the top 10 this week. I have something similar prepared for my Friday Connect Five. 'Tis the season!

DeleteMy idea of seasonal fun is a psycho killer Santa, a Snowbeast or something equally horrible!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I always love your seasonal posts! :D
DeleteOh I love seeing a Nancy Drew cover made this one!
