Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is BOOKS ON MY SPRING TBR LIST.
The only trouble I had this week was limiting my choices to just 10. Here they are:
The War Magician by David Fisher
Vanishing Edge by Claire Kells
Holmes on the Range by Steve Hockensmith
The Final Twist by Jeffrey Deaver
Lost Girls by Angela Marsons
My Side of the River by Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez
Some Choose Darkness by Charlie Donlea
Just a Regular Boy by Catherine Ryan Hyde
Now You See Us by Balli Kaur Jaswal
What You Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama
I also plan on reading books by Catherine Cowles, Katherine Center, Abby Jimenez and K.A. Tucker this spring, but I haven't quite figured out which of their books I'm going to read first. Stay tuned...
Happy Reading!
I hope you enjoy all of these! I would like to read The War Magician - it sounds really fascinating.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound fascinating! It's my nonfiction book for April.
DeleteThe cover of Vanishing Edge got my attention, as I'm an armchair mountain trekker, smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm an armchair adventure person myself. ;D
Delete"Holmes on the Range" - what is that? Is it Sherlock Holmes and Watson in a horse opera? Please say yes! ~Lexlingua.co
ReplyDeleteThis one is set in the 1890s and is about two cowboys solving a murder, one of whom loves Sherlock Holmes and is determined to become the cowboy version of the great detective. It sounds like a lot of fun to me!
DeleteI hope you like My Side of the River.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Top Ten Tuesday.
Lydia
I hope I like it, too!
DeleteYou can really start anywhere with Catherine Cowles. I would say book 1 in any of her series. Katherine Center I would say The Bodyguard or How to Walk Away. JImenez's upcoming release is my favorite of hers.
ReplyDeleteThe Bodyguard is my favorite K. Center; but I haven't read How to Walk Away yet. It's higher on my list now. :D And I've read one C. Cowles and loved it...I just need to figure out which one to read next.
DeleteYou have quite an interesting and rather eclectic list there. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dorothy! I like to read lots of different kinds of books. That way I'm never bored. :D
DeleteI’m also curious about What You Are Looking For is the Library.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Astilbe
It looks like a good one, doesn't it? Me and a friend are going to buddy read that one in May.
DeleteI agree, so hard to narrow it down to 10! And, I just did books I am looking at for the next month, LOL! I hope you enjoy all of these when you get a chance to read them, and that you have a great rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy! Most of the books on this list I'm hoping to read in April. Fingers crossed.
DeleteLark, I understand that completely! Good luck!
DeleteI'm excited to see Catherine Cowles and K.A. Tucker mentioned in your TBR. My (completely unsolicited) recommendations would be Tattered Stars or Whispers of You by Cowles and The Simple Wild by Tucker. Hope you enjoy whatever you read!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Whispers of You. And you were the one who recommended it and made me want to check it out. So thank you!
DeleteI recognize quite a few of these authors, but haven't read any of the books. I hope you have a wonderful time reading them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lark. I'm hoping they all turn out to be 5-star reads.
DeleteI don't think I've seen most of these but I do recognize some of the authors! I hope you enjoy them all. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hopefully they'll all be as good as they sound. If I'm lucky. ;D
DeleteI hope you love them!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed! :D
DeleteIt looks like you have a lot of great reading to look forward to! Hope you enjoy them all! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ashley! :D
DeleteNice list, and I can easily imagine how hard it was to cull ten from your long TBR list. I think Holmes on the Range is a really good choice, and I'm curious to see how you'll react to My Side of the River...still not sure which side the author was claiming in that title.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited to read Holmes on the Range! And after having read your review of My Side of the River I'm curious about how I'll like it...I'll keep you posted. :D
DeleteI meant to do this TTT, but time got away from me! I read Vanishing Edge. Looking forward to your thoughts, Lark!
ReplyDelete:D Vanishing Edge has all the elements that I love, so I'm very hopeful I'll end up liking it.
DeleteThey are all new to me. I hope your next book is a good one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary! I hope so, too. :D
DeleteWhat You Are Looking For is in the Library caught my attention straight off - the cover and the title are both very intriguing, I've looked it up and it's going on my TBR. Hope you have some great Spring readng!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! :D
DeleteThe Deaver book looks good. It looks like the Big Sur Highway 1 on the cover. Hope you enjoy these!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the previous Colter Shaw books by Deaver, so I'm hoping this one is equally good. :D
DeleteI loved What You Are Looking For is in the Library. It was such a nice read with a quiet feel to it. I hope you love it. I want to read the new Claire Kells book. I really enjoyed the first two though I think Vanishing Edge was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you enjoyed both of those books! I'm looking forward to reading them next month. :D
