Whenever I see the Haiku Reviews title, I get so excited.
ReplyDeleteRisen caught my eye. I am going to have to check that out.
p.s. Are you on Goodreads?
DeleteThe Benedict Jacka series is one of my most favorite urban fantasy series. Alex Verus is a great character; he's a mage who can see different strands of the future. If you give them a try, definitely start with the first one, Fated. And yes, I am on Goodreads.
DeleteDELuca's books look fun. I think she's the one that does the Ren faire romcoms?
ReplyDeleteYes! This is the third book in her Ren Faire romances, and it's as fun as the first two. :)
DeleteClever you! These give a real sense of these books.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Sometimes I'm not sure the haikus work very well, but I try. :)
DeleteAll three of these sound like fun!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed them. :D
DeleteWell Matched looks like a nice rom com!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a cute read...very worth checking out. :)
DeleteSuch a creative way to do reviews, love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks. They're fun to write. :D
DeleteI read something by Benedict Jacka but am not sure if it was the first book in this series or something else.
ReplyDeleteHe's a really good author. I love his Alex Verus series. :D
DeleteWell Matched wasn't my fav of the series. April got on my last nerve. Someday I'll get to that Alex Verus series. Love the sound of that forced proximity/enemies to lovers romance! Great reviews, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Rachel! It's funny...I like Well Matched better than the second one in the series because I felt like Stacey should have found her own thing/talent, not just ended up helping out Dex's band, but the first is still my favorite. :)
DeleteI just love your Haiku reviews, Lark. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I have fun writing them. :)
DeleteI haven't read any of these but I like your Haiku reviews.
ReplyDeleteI think you would like the Well Met series by Jen DeLuca. It's a fun one with a Renaissance Faire setting. :D
DeleteYour haiku for Well Matched just made me smile — I now WANT to know how Mitch becomes part of her plans!
ReplyDeleteMitch is so great! You'll love him. :)
DeleteAll of these sound really good. And seeing that Alex Verus book just reminds me that I really need to start the series. It's been lingering in my TBR pile for way too long. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd it's such a good series! Definitely worth reading. :D
DeleteLove your haikus, especially the one for April and Mitch!!
ReplyDeleteThey're so great! I really enjoyed Well Matched. :D
