Bookish Link #3:

Ever get nostalgic for the  days of Nancy Drew?
Then check out Girl Sleuth by Melanie Rehak, the true story
of Nancy, her creator, and the women who authored the series.

  1. I loved Nancy! I know they were simplistic, but in elementary school, I loved them. My father finally told me that I could not check out any more Nancy Drew unless I checked out some nonfiction as well. I was in the 4th or 5th grade and learned to love nonfiction just to be able to read my Nancy Drew.

What did you think of Girl Sleuth?

    1. I thought Girl Sleuth was really interesting; it focuses on the different authors who wrote the series, and the guy who thought Nancy up in the first place, and the changes that were made over time...when I was done reading it, I wanted to go back and reread all my favorite Nancy Drew mysteries. :)
