Love your haiku reviews, Lark! It is really difficult to reduce a review this way. I remember struggling with those 3 sentence reviews a few years ago and how hard to be revealing, yet concise.ReplyDelete
I'm most intrigued by Beauty and the Clockwork Beast!
Thanks, Jenclair! My haikus are never perfect, but I have a lot of fun writing them. And I thought Beauty and the Clockwork Beast was a very fun read. :)Delete
I love these :) That steampunk book looks sooo good!ReplyDelete
I thought it was fun.Delete
Love these. I need to read another Clare Mackintosh.ReplyDelete
That was the first book by her that I've read, but I liked enough to try her again. :)Delete
How clever you are! I've read I SEE YOU, but I'd never be able to condense down to so few sentences. Well done!ReplyDelete
I love your haiku reviews! Beauty and the Clockwork Beast is in my TBR pile. I'm glad to hear it was good! It seems like I need to move it up to the top of my pile.ReplyDelete
I thought it was a very fun read. I hope you do, too. :)Delete
I love these posts - your haikus give me a good idea of what the books are about. Beauty and the Clockwork Beast sounds like a fun read!ReplyDelete
I enjoyed it. And thanks! :)Delete
I enjoyed "I See You" a lot, though not as much as "I Let You Go". Have you read that book? As always, love your haiku reviews. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Melody. And I haven't read I Let You Go yet. But if you liked it even better than I See You I'm definitely putting it on my TBR list. :)Delete
Nice! Blub writers should take note! Too much information on the back of the book puts me off and gives too much away (for my tastes). These haikus are just perfect and make me very curious about whats inside the pages!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Ruthiella! :DDelete
Love these short reviews - haikus are terrific! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Nadia. (They're a lot easier than writing a long review, and more fun, too.)Delete
I could never manage to do this! I love the way you do it!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much! :DDelete
Wow! That is so clever and awesome! Haiku reviews for the win!ReplyDelete
:D Thank you!!Delete
I want to read all of these, but Beauty and the Clockwork Beast sounds especially good!ReplyDelete
I had fun reading it. :)Delete
I see You looks great, I've been wanting to try Clare Mackintosh for a while now. Love the haiku reviews!ReplyDelete
Thank you! And I See You is a good one to try.Delete
I love your haiku reviews! The steampunk book looks like fun.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Lark! (And that book is fun.)Delete
What a fun post! I've read the first two and enjoyed them and I totally like the sound of the steampunk book. I'm going to see if I can borrow that from my library!ReplyDelete
Hope they have a copy!Delete
Excellent post—your haikus do the job!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Jane! :)Delete
I love your haiku reviews! They're always so fun.ReplyDelete
I read the first Gaslight murder mystery a couple weeks ago and wasn't that impressed. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the series or not.
I've been meaning to read the Nancy Campbell Allen series. It looks like lots of fun. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
It's the only book by her that I've read, but I liked it a lot.Delete
I love these. What a great way to do some quick reviews!ReplyDelete
Thank you! I do them when I'm feeling too lazy to write something longer. ;DDelete
Oh my land -- I adore the haiku reviews!ReplyDelete
These reviews are SO cool!!ReplyDelete
