That would make a great bookplate! The art, I mean. I also love the quote. Although I don't know if I've ever been truly sure of who I am, or rather, who I would be without the pressures of the world to be whatever it is a particular section of the world wants me to be. Those expectations are on us from before we can speak... so how much of "who I am" is really me?
Very nice. Makes me want to sit down with the lady for a few days so that I can explore what's behind those glass doors.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what she's reading myself! :D
DeleteOh, a very nice one and a bit different than the ones you usually post!
ReplyDeleteKind regards,
I don't know where I ran across this painting, but I fell in love with it, and just had to post it. :)
DeleteLove this! That's one of my favorite quotes. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a great one? But then, Emerson has a lot of really good quotes. :)

DeleteCool art! I love those bookshelves with the glass doors. That would cut down on the dusting I have to do.

ReplyDeleteI wonder that same thing. I'd like to know who'd I'd be without everyone and everything always tugging at me. :)
DeleteLove that quote! And so true, isn't it? I love how she has a stack of books by her. :)
