Here is the perfect clock for all of us bookworms:

On unwanted blog comments. Like all of you, I get spam comments from time to time on my blog. All from Anonymous, of course. They're mostly annoying, but sometimes I do get a good laugh out of them. Like these recent ones:
- I used to be able to find good advice from your blog posts.
- With exactly what went via your head: uhh.
- Heart tattoos can encompass lots of senses.
- Generally Ido nnot read article onn b1ogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very forced mee to try and do sso!.
- Hack my singing monsters.
- Plus, solar panels are not transportable either.
So, there you go. Pithy comments from questionable sources that I usually delete as spam, but thought I'd share this time around. Hope you got a laugh from them like I did. (The last one is my favorite.)
Have you seen these Strange Planet cartoons by Nathan W. Pyle? They're all about aliens interpreting life here on earth in ways that always make me smile. Here are two of my favorites... the one with the three-eyed dog, and the one where they're watching a horror movie:

I LOVE that clock! It's so cute! Strange Planet is hilarious. I always find myself chuckling when I come across them. :D

DeleteKind of an strange (as in different) sense of humor from these cartoons. I like 'em.
ReplyDeleteAs to the spam, I leave comments on my blog wide open for the first 14 days after each new post and then they require my approval before they post. I figure that everyone who was going to post a comment usually does it within two weeks. But every so often someone posts on a several -year-old post so I have to be careful not to miss them.
I was hit with a whole flurry of Viagra comments this week and had to mark them as spam one-by-one. But that's easy enough to do.
I got hit by that Viagra spam over the summer. Took me awhile to clear them all off. Now I do what you do...and it has made clearing away the spam a lot easier. :)

DeleteMost spam comments I received are annoying, but yeah some of them are funny in some ways. And those Strange Planet Cartoons are so cute!

DeleteI need that clock and I also like the little alien/dog comic. So true! I agree that some spam can be funny. I've gotten several authors from some Vampire Lord offering to make me a vampire. Makes me chuckle every time.

DeleteI know with the spam! I've got ones lately that talk about cheating husbands and casting spells!! And they post the same comment like 3xs over. It's nuts.
