Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is a Book Cover Freebie. So I thought I'd have a little fun with it.

Here are the book covers that best resemble the weather I see out my windows all January long (and often throughout February, too):

And here is what I wish I saw instead:

Ah well...only two more months until spring. Until then....

Happy Dreaming...and Reading!

  1. Ha! Great choices of scenes for both seasons. We really may have no winter at all this year. We've had few nights that get to freezing and plenty of days that feel like spring. It is confusing the plants. And me. :)

    1. Spring is good...but not in the middle of January. :)

  2. Great choices for the two seasons. Hope spring will arrive quickly for you! :)

    1. Thanks, Melody! :) At least we're not bitterly cold this January.

  3. Great topic. I love wintry covers but in real life, not so much.

  4. I love looking at snowy book covers! I love a plot with blizzards, extreme locations, wild weather...

    1. I love those settings, too. :D (But I'd much rather read about them than experience them in real life.)

  5. Well, as long as the second set come with gentle warmth and not oppressive heat, I'm with you.

    1. Oppressive heat is the worst, isn't it?
      Thanks for commenting! :)

  6. I LOVE After the Snow- maybe it's the perspective of looking up at the trees- and on the other end of the spectrum The Book of Summer makes me want to go the beach! :)

  7. We don't get much snow here so it's almost always looking like Spring here even in January.

    1. I think I'm ready to live somewhere like that. Snow was a lot more fun when I was little, but now I'm really tired of driving in it...and shoveling it. :)

    2. I hear that. Move to Las Vegas. We hardly ever get snow here and most of the supermarkets are open 24/7 lol .

  8. I haven't read any of these but the covers are nice. I like 'After the snow' - don't know what's it about but I kind of want to read it.

    Have a lovely day.

  9. We haven't had any snow here so far this winter, but it has been very cold this week and I'm ready for spring now too!

  10. Yes, great choices! My winter is supposed to look like those top three, but I'm kind of glad it doesn't!

  11. We haven't had much of a winter here this year, so those snowy covers are looking very appealing to me. We have a slight chance for snow later in the week and I'm clinging to that tiny bit of hope that it'll actually happen. It's been a while.

    1. Here's hoping you get some snow soon. Although if you don't, you can have some of mine. ;D

  12. Ha ha! I guess you're reading for Spring, eh? It's actually been cold here in Arizona over the last month or so, but it's starting to warm up again. It won't be long until we're over 100 again :( Blech.

    Happy TTT!

    1. I don't think I could do an Arizona summer. They're much too hot for me. It's bad enough when we hit 100 degrees here in SLC.

  13. Lol! At least you get the seasons. Summer was gorgeous when I visited back last August in Park City. Not far from you if I remember correctly.

I wish we saw more of a change, but up north, where my daughter lives, gives us the changes I crave and we're back and forth so much I feel like I experience it more now.

    1. I do live close to Park City. :D And we do get some gorgeous days here, both in the summer and the winter. Although I think spring and fall are my two favorite seasons.

  17. I wish we saw snow! We're lucky to get a day of snow once every few years. Texas weather. After the Snow really caught my eye.

    1. I guess Texas doesn't get a lot of snow, does it? We get plenty here in Utah. :)

  18. I only like cold weather when I don't have to go outside and can be cozy with the cats inside and READ!

  19. Yep, that looks like the story of my life right there :) I am over this dreary winter already but we have at least two more months to go *cries*.

    1. At least we've almost made it through January. It always feels like the longest month of winter to me. Although we still get a lot of snow in February. Sigh.

  20. Your winter book covers look quite inviting 🙂 We’re having another heat wave & 40 C is not much fun. I’d probably die if I had to live through your winter.

    1. I don't like when temps get that hot, that's for sure! At least when it's cold I can just put on another layer of clothing. There's only so much you can take off when it's hot. ;D

  21. This is great. I am looking forward to Spring although then that means summer and I feel like we've hardly had a winter! I dread the hot months.
