Those are wonderful, but I'd be terrified, I think, if I had to climb a ladder tall enough to reach those upper shelves. Someone needs to invent an automated system to retrieve books from that height. :-)
What Sam said and also that glass roof looks lovely but the sun would be terribly strong coming in through that. I like that 2nd one though, the tree outside is amazing!
OMG, you won't believe it but I have the second photo saved on my phone? I sent it to my sister and a good bookish friend so we could sigh over it! I do wonder, however, if I would get distracted by looking out the window? I find when I read in my backyard, I often end up watching the birds and butterflies.
Great bookish minds think alike! :D When I read outside I tend to get distracted by the birds, too. And the bugs. And that's usually when I go back inside.
These are both perfect, but I am partial to the first one. Imagine on a rainy day . . . I always find the reading areas with big windows and a beautiful forest like area outside to be the most appealing to me.
Those are beautiful and I think the only thing I would change is the furniture. The leather chair is beautiful but I'm more partial to comfier, cozier fabrics.
Nice! I'd like the entire house, either house. :)
ReplyDeleteMe, too! :)
DeleteGood grief, either of those rooms would be nice. I love them both.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be amazing to live somewhere like that? I wish I did.
DeleteJust beautiful! Love the wide windows with lovely views. And the bookshelves, of course. LOL
ReplyDeleteOf course! :D They're the whole point.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not a fan of ladders, but I'd risk it for bookshelves like that. :)

ReplyDeleteMaybe if the glass roof faced north it wouldn't be too bad.
DeleteLove the bookshelves and the view beyond! Nice place to read!
ReplyDeleteAren't they? :D
DeleteThese are gorgeous! I'd love a reading spot like that! :D
ReplyDeleteIt'd be a little bit of bookish heaven on earth. :)
