This week's theme: Books on my Fall 2023 To-Read List.
This was an easy list to compile except for one thing...keeping it to just 10 books. Because there are a lot of books I'm hoping to read before the end of the year. Here are some of them:

I haven't read any of these, but I hope you enjoy them all. My list for this week could have been a lot longer too!

DeleteGreat list, Lark! Fairest of Heart was a fun Snow White retelling. I really enjoyed it. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on Finlay Donovan is Killing It. That book sounds so good. :)

DeleteYou did an admirable job of keeping it to 10 books only. Way too much choice out there for that ever to be an easy task. I like the penguin book, looks good along with several of the "suspense" and thriller style books you listed. Some nice, attractive covers going for most of them, too.
ReplyDeleteIt was hard narrowing my fall TBR list down to just these, because my actual list is much longer. And when fall rolls around I always get in the mood for some good suspenseful thrillers. :D
DeleteI confess to not reading of any of these books but also to not having read any of the authors. Shame on me. We do all follow our favorites when making selections, huh?

DeleteLark, I understand completely! I think I need to *gasp* put myself on a library ban!!! I have SO many books out and my holds keep coming in, plus my ARCs, plus trying to finish my challenges, sigh!
DeleteIt can get a little overwhelming when the books start piling up like that! I went a month without going to the library once just to force myself to read some of the books sitting on my own shelves...but I've only done it that once. Going to the library is my bookish addiction. ;D
DeleteGallows Hill looks perfect for a spooky fall read. And the cover of Home at Night makes me want to know more.
ReplyDeleteGallows Hill does look good...and Coates knows how to write a good scary story. I've liked several of her haunted house/ghost stories. :D And the Paula Munier series is a fabulous one.

DeleteI love the mix here. Home at Night I added after seeing it somewhere this weekend, and the penguin one. Brennan's also. And Finlay sounds fun also!

DeleteGreat list! I've been wondering about Coates. Her books look like ones I would like, except they might be a little too creepy for me. I'll have to give them a try and find out. Enjoy your Fall reading.

Craven Manor, The Carrow Haunt and Hunted are my three favorite Darcy Coates' books so far. I'd recommend trying one of those first. :D

DeleteI realized something while reading this post: I'm always drawn to books with animals on the cover. Scrolling down your list, and judging by cover and title only, books that most interested me are the last two! :P
ReplyDeleteI think you would like Paula Munier's series...but be sure to start with the first book, A Borrowing of Bones. This is a series best read in order.

DeleteYeah it's hard to compete with an Antartica book, yay! But that North of Nowhere also looks good. Like a Montana wilderness setting too. Enjoy.

DeleteI am going to have to find The Last Cold Place by Naira de Gracia. Sounds fantastic. I already have another nonfiction book about penguins in Antarctica (still unread), they would go together well.

DeleteFall is full of exciting reads isn't it? From this list there are some really interesting ones but I love the title of Bookshop Cinderella so will have to look for that!

DeleteI often find it impossible to keep my TTT posts down to just 10, especially with the anticipatory posts (seasonal TBRs and "most anticipated new releases.") This looks like a great collections of books; I hope you are able to read at least some of these this fall. I need to read What the Hex, too.
