Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme: BOOKS ON MY SUMMER 2025 TO-READ LIST.
Which sounds easy but was actually a little hard because there are so many books I want to read this summer, how do I pick just 10? I ended up with 15 on my list. Here they are:
1. That's Not My Name by Megan Lally
2. The Big Fix by Holly James
3. Beast of the North Woods by Annelise Ryan
(Book #3 in this fun mystery series.)
4. Tide Together by Melanie Summers
5. Exposure by Ramona Emerson
(The second Rita Todacheene mystery.)
6. One Golden Summer by Carly Fortune
7. Crossing Paths by Katie Ruggle
(I've been waiting for this book to come out since 2020; here's hoping it doesn't disappoint.)
8. Disturbing the Dead by Kelley Armstrong
(The third book in her Rip Through Time series.)
9. Cold Eternity by S.A. Barnes
10. We Won't All Survive by Kate Alice Marshall
11. Black Woods Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey
12. The Double-A Western Detective Agency by Steve Hockensmith
(Book #6 in the fun and always funny Holmes on the Range series.)
13. Fairy Tale by Stephen King
14. Rage by Linda Castillo
(Her 17th Kate Burkholder mystery.)
15. Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
(Check out Leslie's review and you'll see why this book got added to my list.)
As you can see, I'm working on catching up on some series and hoping to fit in a mix of romance, mystery, science fiction and fantasy. All subject to changes in my reading mood, of course. I'm also hoping to read several of John Connolly's Charlie Parker books, a few nonfiction books, and anything else that catches my eye.
Happy Summer Reading!
I’ve had One Golden Summer on my Kindle F-O-R-E-V-E-R. I really need to get to that one soon. I hope you have a great Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to reading that one; it looks like the perfect summer read. :D
DeleteI still haven’t read her last book either. I can’t remember the name of it. I really need to get caught up on her books. I’ve been slacking too much.
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these, Lark! I haven't read any of them but would really like to read Black Woods Blue Sky.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for that one! I really liked her book The Snow Child.
DeleteHappy reading.

:D Thank you!
DeleteI hope you love them all. Yay for books that are finally being published!
ReplyDelete:D It's been a long wait that's for sure.
DeleteI’m curious about Black Woods, Blue Sky, too.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It looks like it could be really good!
DeleteI wonder what Fairy Tale is like. I wonder if it's scary or not.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's one of his scarier reads; I'm under the impression it's more fantasy, but I could be totally wrong. ;D
DeleteI still need to read Carly Fortune! I have her first book and have been wanting to read it for so long. Thank you so much for linking my review!! Oh my gosh, I really hope you enjoy Dungeon Crawler Carl!! <3
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll like it. It sounds so fun! :D
DeleteI didn't put it on my list today but I also wanna read We Won't All Survive by Kate Alice Marshall!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very fun kind of thriller. :D
DeleteThanks for sharing!!
ReplyDelete:D
DeleteI hope that Katie Ruggle doesn't disappoint, the last one wasn't what I hoped for. I look forward to your thoughts. I've read and enjoyed Kate Alice Marshall's adult thrillers, but not her YA. This one looks good. Loved Disturbing the Dead and (as you know) I'm looking forward to Rage, too! Great list, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the new Ruggle doesn't disappoint, too. I agree, the last one wasn't as good as her previous books. And I still don't totally agree with her decision to switch her bounty-hunting sisters books into a new series after having written the first two...it's strange.
DeleteAh ha. Got your summer list. #11 is one I'd like to get to. I have read Eowyn Ivey's past books which I've liked. And I have heard good things about her new one. Will look to see what you think.
ReplyDeleteI loved Ivey's The Snow Child, so I'm really looking forward to this newest one.
DeleteMy daughter read Fairy Tale by King and liked it. I wonder if it is too creepy for me?
ReplyDeleteMy TTT Summer Reading List
I've heard it's not one of his scarier books, but I haven't read it yet so I guess I'll find out.
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these, Lark! Like you, I have SO many books I want to read right now.
ReplyDeleteIt makes it hard to choose which to read first and how to fit them all in! I almost need a spreadsheet. ;D
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these when you get the chance.

Thank you!
DeleteThat's a good list. Some of those will be showing up in my reading list as well.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see which ones you choose. :D
DeleteGood luck with getting all of these read!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOooh... of the ones I've read, I enjoyed them all! Fairy Tale is great, and I love everything by Carley Fortune. The Rip Through Time series is just so good. Black Woods Blue Sky was puzzling and thought provoking for sure! Hope you enjoy all the books you get to this summer -- I look forward to hearing all about them!
ReplyDelete:D You make me even more excited to check those books out.
DeleteI really loved Cold Eternity, and I'm hoping to read We Won't All Survive, since I'm a big fan of the author😁
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you loved Cold Eternity! I really enjoyed Barnes' previous novels. :D
DeleteKelley Armstrong is so prolific, it's impossible to keep up! I need to read DEATH AT A HIGHLAND WEDDING and then I'll be caught up with the Rip in Time series at least. My husband has been binge-reading the series over the last couple of months. He's caught up :) I hope you enjoy all your summer reads!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
I don't know how I fell so far behind in this series when I do enjoy her books so much, but I'm hoping by September I'll be all caught up. Fingers crossed.
DeleteLark, you've got a great list here. I am definitely reading Rage. Otherwise, some are on my list and some are new. We'll see how I do this summer. Ha! Good luck to you with your list!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your summer reading plans!
DeleteIt sounds like you have some great reading ahead of you! I hope you enjoy them all! Dungeon Crawler Carl sounds awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it sound like fun? I'm really excited to check that one out.
DeleteI hope they are good reads for you.
ReplyDelete:D Thanks, Mary!
DeleteThe Eowyn Ivey books looks so good! I want to read that one soon and I really need to pick up that Kelley Armstrong series. Good luck with your reading. I can't wait to see your thoughts on these.
ReplyDeleteI have two more books in that particular Armstrong series I need to read and then I hope I'll be caught up for a minute or two. ;D
DeleteGood luck with your summer reading list!! If I make these types of reading lists, I end up going off track... I'm pretty much a mood reader and end up reading whatever captures my attention in the moment.
ReplyDeleteAllowing room for mood changes is important...this is a tentative list for me, but I'm giving myself permission to pivot and read any book I want to this summer...whether it's on a list or not. :D
DeleteI keep on toying with the idea of reading King's Fairy Tale. I think I would like it. Hope you read and review it, which will encourage me to do the same.
ReplyDeleteIf I do manage to get Fairy Tale read, I'll definitely write a post about it. :D
DeleteSo many good books to look forward to this season!
ReplyDeleteToo many! I'll never get them all read. ;D
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these. I look forward to hearing more about Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to give that one a read. Hopefully it's as fun as it sounds.
DeleteI have added Dungeon Crawler Carl too - that book is everywhere
ReplyDeleteIt is everywhere. I went to put it on hold at my library and 65 other people are ahead of me! It's crazy.
