Assassins Anonymous by Rob Hart
One year, no kills. Mark
is making amends. Then a
killer comes after him.
Action/Thriller .... 306 pages .... 5/5 stars.
(Loved the main character and the dark humor. Can't wait to read the sequel.)
Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs
Sasquatch. Cthulhu.
Black Witches. A missing town.
And werewolves. Oh, my!
Urban fantasy .... 358 pages .... 5/5 stars.
(Anna and Charles head to the mountains in Northern California to investigate an ancient mystery; lots of magic and suspense. I loved it.)
Tell Me True by Carina Taylor
Can this marriage of
convenience take two roommates from
"just friends" to much, much more?
Sweet romance .... 316 pages .... 4/5 stars.
(Cute, clean and humorous. While I do not love the cover, I did love Miles's and Lucy's friendship, and their banter. Miles's family was pretty great, too.)
Happy Reading!

Wild Sign does sound good! I had the first two books in mass market format but put them in the LFL unread because the font was so small it was giving me eye strain *cries* I think I'll try again on audio.
ReplyDeleteI struggle with my eyes these days, too. It's not fun! But I'm near-sighted, so I can still do small print. for now anyway. ;D
DeleteGreat haikus! I love the Charles and Anna books -- I think I'll need to reread the last one or two before the next new one comes out. I've had Assassins Anonymous on my TBR for a while now. Glad to see you enjoyed it so much!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a fun read. I did really love it.
DeleteThese haikus are so great! I need to get back to the Anna and Charles series. I loved the first couple books. :D
ReplyDeleteThe later ones are just as good! :D
DeleteGreat reviews, they all sound good! And, look at you sharing a fun romcom I haven't read ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! I can finally add one to your TBR list....you're ALWAYS adding books to mine. ;D
DeleteI wouldn't have looked twice at Assassins Anonymous but I like your review of it. Patricia Briggs is an author I really need to read and I love the look of Tell Me True!
ReplyDeleteAll books are fun in their own way.
DeleteWild Signs would be the one for me, though Assassins Anonymous sounds like it could be a bit Grosse Point Blank, which I loved.
ReplyDeleteI loved both books! :D
DeleteAssassins Anonymous sounds like my kind of story! I'll check my library for an audio. I loved Wild Sign, but it's been a while since I've read it. We learned a lot about Bran's mate, Leah? I think I felt sympathy for her in this one. Something I didn't ever think was possible! Now I want to do another re-read! The next book is supposed to come out in November, and I couldn't be more excited!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never liked Leah until this book...and it definitely made me feel more sympathy for her, and like her just a little bit. I'm excited for the next book! And I thought Assassins Anonymous was just so fun. It reminded me a little of the Orphan X books, except with a little more dark humor in it.
DeleteSo well done my friend.

Thank you Regine! :D
DeleteYour books here definitely move across the reading spectrum! Love it. I have not ever read a book by Patricia Briggs. One day perhaps.
ReplyDeleteI love the way she writes! And I love her take on wolf shifters and the paranormal, so I really enjoy her books.
DeleteOh cool idea of super short reviews!
ReplyDeleteI have fun writing them. :D
DeleteYour Haiku reviews are always fun.
ReplyDelete:D Thanks, Mary!
DeleteThat first one looks good. And yes book 2, I read it
ReplyDeleteWild Signs was SO good. I really enjoyed it.
DeleteI'm always looking forward to your haikus. They are always fun even though I haven't read the books.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the haikus. I have fun writing them. :D
DeleteI can tell.
DeleteOhhhh, I like the sound of Wild Sign, is the Alpha and Omega series as good as Mercy Thompson? I haven't tried it.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost as good. I like her Mercy Thompson series best, but I've really been enjoying these books with Charles and Anna. :D
DeleteLove your haiku reviews. That Tell Me True cover is co cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute romance. :D
DeleteThe Assassins Anonymous series is one of my favorites😁
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun! I can't wait to read his other books.
DeleteHave a great day. Thinking of you.

DeleteThanks for sharing. Short and to the point.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about writing haiku reviews! :D
DeleteI remember reading The Warehouse by Rob Hart years ago. Glad this book was a hit too!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it. :D
DeleteSasquatch, witches, and werewolves? Bring it on! That's a pretty great combo.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty great book! :D
DeleteIt looks like you had some good reading last week Lark. I enjoy your Haiku reviews.
ReplyDelete:D Thank you! They are fun to write.
DeleteMore fun haikus. ( I really need to try to do some...)
ReplyDeleteAssassins Anonymous appeals the most in this set, as I noted at your next post.
