I loved Nancy! I know they were simplistic, but in elementary school, I loved them. My father finally told me that I could not check out any more Nancy Drew unless I checked out some nonfiction as well. I was in the 4th or 5th grade and learned to love nonfiction just to be able to read my Nancy Drew.
I thought Girl Sleuth was really interesting; it focuses on the different authors who wrote the series, and the guy who thought Nancy up in the first place, and the changes that were made over time...when I was done reading it, I wanted to go back and reread all my favorite Nancy Drew mysteries. :)
