Bookish anticipation...

Some of my favorite authors have new books coming out this year and I'm counting down the days until I can read them. The first comes out on January 29th....a new Flavia de Luce mystery!

Then, in March, two of my favorite authors have new books
coming out that I'm really looking forward to:

And I can't wait for these two April releases written about two of my favorite characters:

Last, but certainly not least, is this new Gaslight Mystery coming in May:

Such a good year of reading ahead!
What books are you looking forward to this year?

Happy Reading!

  3. Fun! My contact at Berkeley is sending me the new Kope book. He says he liked it a lot better than the first one, so that makes me excited. I'm also excited for the new Huber book. I have a lot of catching up in the series before I get to A BRUSH WITH SHADOWS, but I'll get there!

  5. March is a big month for new releases I am looking forward to. I have a copy of Broken Girls to read and need to get on it. It sounds like a good one! I haven't heard of A Brush With Shadows, but I may have to look for that one when it's released.

I hope you get to all of these, Lark!

    1. A Brush With Shadows is part of Anna Lee Huber's Lady Darby series, which I really enjoy. So March is definitely going to be a good reading month. :)

  9. I think the Victorian Thompson series is the only one I'm caught up with at this point. Love Sarah & Frank. I've fallen a bit behind on the Huber series so I need to catch up. Oh I love a good mystery series!

  10. I will definitely buy The Grave's A Fine and Pleasant Place.I don't know if I will ever re-read this series, but the books are so pretty!

Other than Flavia, my 2018 must by will be Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers which is the third in her Wayfarers series and the newest Kate Atkinson novel titled Transcription (in the UK at least).

  13. I have the book Chimney Sweepers Comes to Dust by Alan Bradley in my kindle. Never read him before but the book was recommended by my friend Iris and now with your recommendation, that's the push I needed to finally read this author. I think is going to be a really good series.

  15. I just got an egalley of the new Flavia. I'm going to do my best not to stick the kids in front of the tv on Saturday and just read it all the way through!

I have to confess I don't know any of the other authors you mention. Off to Goodreads for me! :)
