Love your haiku reviews, Lark! It is really difficult to reduce a review this way. I remember struggling with those 3 sentence reviews a few years ago and how hard to be revealing, yet concise.
ReplyDeleteI'm most intrigued by Beauty and the Clockwork Beast!
Thanks, Jenclair! My haikus are never perfect, but I have a lot of fun writing them. And I thought Beauty and the Clockwork Beast was a very fun read. :)
DeleteI love these :) That steampunk book looks sooo good!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was fun.
DeleteLove these. I need to read another Clare Mackintosh.
ReplyDeleteThat was the first book by her that I've read, but I liked enough to try her again. :)
DeleteHow clever you are! I've read I SEE YOU, but I'd never be able to condense down to so few sentences. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteI love your haiku reviews! Beauty and the Clockwork Beast is in my TBR pile. I'm glad to hear it was good! It seems like I need to move it up to the top of my pile.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a very fun read. I hope you do, too. :)
DeleteI love these posts - your haikus give me a good idea of what the books are about. Beauty and the Clockwork Beast sounds like a fun read!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it. And thanks! :)
DeleteI enjoyed "I See You" a lot, though not as much as "I Let You Go". Have you read that book? As always, love your haiku reviews. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody. And I haven't read I Let You Go yet. But if you liked it even better than I See You I'm definitely putting it on my TBR list. :)
DeleteNice! Blub writers should take note! Too much information on the back of the book puts me off and gives too much away (for my tastes). These haikus are just perfect and make me very curious about whats inside the pages!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ruthiella! :D
DeleteLove these short reviews - haikus are terrific! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nadia. (They're a lot easier than writing a long review, and more fun, too.)
DeleteI could never manage to do this! I love the way you do it!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is so clever and awesome! Haiku reviews for the win!
ReplyDelete:D Thank you!!
DeleteI want to read all of these, but Beauty and the Clockwork Beast sounds especially good!
ReplyDeleteI had fun reading it. :)
DeleteI see You looks great, I've been wanting to try Clare Mackintosh for a while now. Love the haiku reviews!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And I See You is a good one to try.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Lark! (And that book is fun.)
DeleteWhat a fun post! I've read the first two and enjoyed them and I totally like the sound of the steampunk book. I'm going to see if I can borrow that from my library!
ReplyDeleteHope they have a copy!
DeleteExcellent post—your haikus do the job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane! :)
DeleteI love your haiku reviews! They're always so fun.
ReplyDeleteI read the first Gaslight murder mystery a couple weeks ago and wasn't that impressed. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the series or not.
I've been meaning to read the Nancy Campbell Allen series. It looks like lots of fun. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
It's the only book by her that I've read, but I liked it a lot.
DeleteI love these. What a great way to do some quick reviews!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I do them when I'm feeling too lazy to write something longer. ;D
