Brr!

It's the perfect time of year for some chilling suspense. And, as luck would have it, the Top Ten Tuesday theme for this week is Wintry Reads.

(Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.)

So, here are ten chilling titles that will keep you in suspense this winter season:

1. The Snowman by Jo Nesbo

2. The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg

3. Smilla's Sense of Snow by Peter Hoeg

4. The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza
5. The Girl in the Ice by Lotte and Soren Hammer

6. Winter's Bone by Daniel Woodrell

7. Snow Angels by James Thompson

8. Cover of Snow by Jenny Milchman

9. Hypothermia by Arnaldur Indridason

10. Winter Prey by T.M. Simmons

So, grab a cup of hot chocolate and a warm blanket and ... Happy Reading!

  4. I've only read one of these -- WINTER'S BONE -- and it was depressing as all get out! It was memorable, though. I'll have to check out some of these others.

    Happy TTT!

    1. I read Winter's Bone after I saw the movie. And while I liked it, I would NOT want to have to live in such a depressing and dark place.

  5. I love snowy covers. I saw Winter's Bone movie version and I agree with Susan - super depressing! I really am interesting in The Ice Princess. Might have to look into it further.

  7. Ooh even the colors are chilly! I LOVE a good suspenseful/ scary read set in a cold setting. All of these look fabulous, but just going off covers I'm super interested in Hypothermia, the first Girl in the Ice (or heck- both lol) and The Ice Princess, which looks way creepy!

  12. I think just reading these titles make me want to grab a cup of tea to warm up! haha.. You know, I need to keep this list for when we are melting in the summer and I need some cold settings to imagine what winter is like in other places. Great list!

    1. You do need cold reads for when it's too hot to go outside in the summer! :)

  13. Those definitely look chilly as well as chilling! I think I have a copy of Cover of Snow on my physical to-read shelves someplace. Not being heavily into thrillers, I've been putting it off, but I should give it a try this winter.
