"...a life spent reading-that is a good life." -Annie Dillard
Very nice. Makes me want to sit down with the lady for a few days so that I can explore what's behind those glass doors.
I'd love to know what she's reading myself! :D
Oh, a very nice one and a bit different than the ones you usually post! Kind regards,
I don't know where I ran across this painting, but I fell in love with it, and just had to post it. :)
Love this! That's one of my favorite quotes. :)
Isn't it a great one? But then, Emerson has a lot of really good quotes. :)
I love that quote!
Thanks, Melody. :)
Cool art! I love those bookshelves with the glass doors. That would cut down on the dusting I have to do.Aj @ Read All The Things!
I hear you on that. I hate dusting. ;D
Lark, I absolutely LOVE that quote :) Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Thanks, Nadia! :D
That would make a great bookplate! The art, I mean. I also love the quote. Although I don't know if I've ever been truly sure of who I am, or rather, who I would be without the pressures of the world to be whatever it is a particular section of the world wants me to be. Those expectations are on us from before we can speak... so how much of "who I am" is really me?
I wonder that same thing. I'd like to know who'd I'd be without everyone and everything always tugging at me. :)
Love that quote! And so true, isn't it? I love how she has a stack of books by her. :)
Isn't that a great picture? I really love it.
Love this vintage book art, and that wonderful quote! :)
Thanks, Rachel! :D
I love this crisp, nostalgic image! Great art and great quote—as always.
Thanks, Susan! :)
That's a lovely quote and love the picture!
