Sophie Kinsella is great. I love her first Shopaholic book, Can You Keep a Secret, and Twenties Girl, too. :D Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI've only read A Walk in the Woods from this list but, I really liked it. Bryson is a great writer, his memoir (he's around my age) really resonated with me at times. The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid.
ReplyDeleteI probably could have done an entire list of funny reads made up of Bill Bryson books. He's so great! :)
DeleteI'm so curious about A Walk in the Woods!

A Walk in the Woods is hilarious! I love Bill Bryson. :)
DeleteI couldn't do this week's topic off the top of my head so I had to go rogue. I could only think of one answer and it would've taken all week to complete it!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the TTT theme doesn't work for me either. I got lucky with this one, but there are others I just end up skipping.
DeleteYes, Soulless was so funny, and clever! I'd like to read The Vampire's Fake Fiancee. I love it when a book makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteSoulless totally made me laugh. And I think you'd like The Vampire's Fake Fiancee. It's a fun romantic read. :)
DeleteI'm definitely going to have to look for the ones I haven't read.
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need something funny to read!
DeleteP.G. Wodehouse is so funny! I need to read more of his books.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I've only read a few, but I've loved every one.
DeleteLove Sophie Kinsella
ReplyDeleteHer books are a lot of fun, aren't they? :)
DeleteSoulless has been lingering on my TBR list for way too long. I've gotta read it soon. It sounds awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun series! :D
DeleteThe Kinsella book looks like lots of fun :)
ReplyDeleteShe writes some very humorous books.
DeleteBill Bryson is probably the funniest writer I can think of. In one of his books he described buying bread in a bakery in Paris and I was crying with laughter.
ReplyDeleteBill Bryson is awesome! He did this whole thing on the game of Cricket in his book In a Sunburned Country that still makes me smile. :)
DeleteA WALK IN THE WOODS landed on my doorstep an hour ago. Literally! I ordered it last week and it arrived today. I've never read anything by Bryson, so I'm excited to read it. It's been on lots of lists today, which makes me even more anxious to get started.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I first read that book because I've always wanted to hike the Appalachian Trail, and I reread it now because parts of it are so funny! I hope you enjoy it. :D
DeleteI have a few Kinsella books but I haven't read them yet!! I should get to it. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read all of her books, but I've loved all the ones that I have read. :D
DeleteWill keep your list in mind should I need some books that make me laugh. :D
ReplyDeleteWe all need books like that once in awhile, don't we? :)
DeleteBryson, Wodehouse and Cold Comfort Farm -- haha, can I have some mooore please? oh, right -- you've already suggested Abridged Classics, which sounds awesome. Thanks and Happy TTT

DeleteAnything by Bryson makes me laugh out loud. Love that guy, and really hate the thought that he considers himself retired from writing now.
ReplyDeleteI hate that thought, too! I don't want any of my favorite authors to ever stop writing.
Delete:) Quite a list, Lark! As Melody mentions, we all need some books to make us laugh about now!
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteI love Bill Bryson, his books are just so readable.
ReplyDeleteThey are so great! :D

ReplyDeleteThey're both such good authors. And Wodehouse always makes me laugh. :D Thanks for commenting!
DeleteSoulless is the only one on your list I have read. I really enjoyed it. I want to read Can You Keep a Secret? Her Shopaholic books were so fun. Great list, Lark!
