Ok ... I'm a sucker for the historical fiction one .... like the Haiku approach too. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteI loved The Last Bookshop in London, and so did my mom. It's a book that will make you smile. And I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, too! :)
DeleteAll these books sound like great reads. I've been curious about The Love Hypothesis so I'm glad to see that you enjoyed it! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved it! It's one I wouldn't mind owning because I know I'll want to read it again...and again. :)
DeleteNice ones! Have a very merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dorothy! Same to you. :)
DeleteI know I say this every time, but I mean it every time. I love your haiku reviews! So clever!
ReplyDeleteThe Love Hypothesis has been getting a lot of hype. I should probably read it.
It's a great book. There's just one very steamy sex scene to beware of it that's not your thing, but the two main characters are so fun. I loved them.
DeleteI wish I could do the haikus. So concise and fun!
ReplyDeleteSome work out better than others, but I always have fun doing them. And they're short! ;D
DeleteSo fun! I want to read all of these books. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the characters that really make these books...I loved them all.
DeleteFun as ever! The historical is probably the one for me.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed that one! It made me laugh and cry. And I loved the London setting, and the bookshop, and the way everyone came together to help one another. It's very heartwarming.
DeleteThese all look fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteThey were all a lot of fun. :)
Deletea very hohoho collection! Merry Xmas!
ReplyDelete:D I hope you have a Merry Christmas, too!
DeleteThose are great. How fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. It was easy to write these haikus because all the books are such fun reads. :)
DeleteAll of these sound good! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy! :)
DeleteI haven't seen haiku in a while. Nicely done. The Last Bookshop in London has been on my wish list. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cheryl. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, too.
DeleteI think something akin to your reviews must be passed out in creative writing classes as prompts for student writing. I mean that sarcastically, of course, because so many writers seem to jump on the bandwagon when a novel has success with a particular theme, and before you know it, the market is flooded with readalikes.
ReplyDeleteAs always, your haiku reviews made me smile.
Thanks, Sam! And I get what you're saying about there being so many readalikes these days, and most aren't done well! It's like no one has any original ideas any more.
DeleteAs usual, your Haikus are wonderful! The Last Bookshop looks particularly interesting to me. I really enjoy historical fiction and if it involves a book store…perfection. :D
ReplyDeleteThe Last Bookshop in London is great! And the bookshop plays a very large role in it, which I loved. :)
DeleteI've got The Last Bookshop In London on my Kindle. I need to move it up higher on my list! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one. I loved the time the main character spent in the bookshop, and the friendship she makes with the grumpy owner, and all the war struggles as London gets bombed night after night. It's just a good read.
DeleteAll three of these sound good. I especially want to read The Last Bookshop in London, but The Love Hypothesis has been on my radar too. I am glad you enjoyed these, Lark!
ReplyDeleteThey're all good reads. And I really did like The Last Bookshop in London, and so did my mom! :)
DeleteSo thrilled you loved The Love Hypothesis too! She's publishing a bunch of novellas next and I'm looking forward to all of them!
ReplyDeleteI think The Love Hypothesis is one that I'm going to have to own. It was just so good. :D
DeleteGreat ones again.
ReplyDeleteI also have one for you, saw it and thought of you instantly:
There was a young man
From Cork who got limericks
And haikus confused. 😉
And thank you for visiting my TTT this week. Merry Christmas.
LOL. So funny. :) And I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, too.
DeleteThanks. I'm sure I will. Our boys are home. ♥
DeleteI love your Haiku reviews. I need to try that as a way to summarize what I think about a novel. I have a hard time doing that lately, and I have always had the problem of writing too much.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I am going to read The Last Bookshop in London for sure. And the first one up there, Mistle Text, sounds like fun.
Mistle Text made me laugh so many times. :)
DeleteYour haiku reviews are the best! Not that I don't love your longer reviews, too - I just think the haikus are super fun :) I'm looking forward to reading the last two books. Glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! :D I wish you many happy reads in 2022.
DeleteThe Love Hypothesis sounds cute!
ReplyDeleteI really liked it. A lot!
DeleteYour haiku for The Love Hypothesis is perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was such a fun read, wasn't it? :)
