Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is supposed to be Books on My Winter 2021 To-Read List. But I wasn't feeling it, so I decided to go rogue and just do Wintry Reads instead.
1. Winter Frost by R. D. Wingfield
2. The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon
3. The Ocean in Winter by Elizabeth de Veer
4. Winter's Bone by Daniel Woodrell
5. The Winter Girls by Roger Stelljes
6. The Winter Road by Adrian Selby
7. Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
8. The Winter Cottage by Rachael Lucas
9. Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher
10. Final Winter by Iain Rob Wright
Happy Reading!
Great twist. I first thought of doing something else but there are so many reading lists I'm still "working on", in the end I combined that all and ended up with TTTT this week.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to check out your list! :D
DeleteYou always have such kind comments, so I'm looking forward to them now.
DeleteOh my goodness, how I love a good wintery read, more than summer reads to be honest, although I like those too. I have Winter Solstice on my Kindle to read in 2022.
ReplyDeleteWintry reads are the best...especially when you can read them bundled up in a warm blanket on your couch with a cup of hot chocolate nearby. :D
DeleteJust grabbed my bathrobe with all those chilly titles and cover art...LOL Seriously, great list. I've read Winter Bone and just thought about purchasing the audio of Winter Solstice last night (one I have been meaning to read/listen to).
ReplyDeleteI love Winter Solstice, but then I love most of Rosamunde Pilcher's books. :)
DeleteSo many titles with "winter" in them! This was a fun way to go rogue. I think Wintersong is on my TBR somewhere. The Winter Cottage has a cute cover.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by Wintersong; and The Winter Cottage just looks like fun. I haven't read either of them, but I want to. :)
DeleteThat's an intriguing list, maybe good for a winter read.
ReplyDeleteLots of different kinds of books to choose from; I've only read three of them myself, but I like the looks of the other seven. :)
DeleteI did the same thing with this week's TBR. I'm looking at 'The Winter Cottage.' Thanks for the suggestion.

The Winter Cottage looks like a cute read! :)
DeleteBrrrr...these definitely feel wintry! I've read two of them—THE WINTER PEOPLE and WINTER'S BONE.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Those are the 2/3 books on this list that I've read, too! :D
Delete"now is the winter of our discontent..." i want to go on a bike ride but there's too much ice! darn...
ReplyDeleteWe're expecting snow tomorrow...and I'm not excited for the morning commute. Even though it does look pretty on the mountains. :)
DeleteThese do make me think of winter!
ReplyDeleteThey're great covers, aren't they?
DeleteThese definitely have a winter vibe. Such pretty covers, too. I would like to read The Winter Girls and The Winter Cottage. Hope you get a chance to read any that you haven't.

I've only read three of these, but there are several others I want to check out...especially The Winter Girls and The Winter Cottage. :)
DeleteLove your spin on the topic!
ReplyDeleteMy list is here— https://fiftytwo.blog/2021/12/14/ttt-top-winter-picks/
Happy TTT!
Lori
Thanks for commenting! Can't wait to check out your TTT. :)
DeleteEight and nine for me.
ReplyDeletePilcher's Winter Solstice is a great book. And I think The Winter Cottage looks like a really fun read. :)
DeleteWintersong is the only one of these I've read, sadly I didn't enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2021/12/14/top-ten-tuesday-346/
I haven't read Wintersong; but I'm sorry it wasn't a better book. It's a great cover, though.
DeleteThat's a whole lot of winter...as a crime fiction fan, I always find novels of that genre that are set in the dead of winter to be the spookiest. Probably because I'm totally uncomfortable as soon as the temperature drops below 60 degrees. LOL
ReplyDeleteWinter settings do add some good spooky atmosphere to thrillers and crime novels. I know I'm always drawn to a wintry setting in a book. Even though I really don't like the cold myself. :)
DeleteGreat list! I'd add Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
ReplyDeleteOoh...good one! I totally forgot about that book.
DeleteGreat list! I was just thinking today with my Free library opening up in January I should try to get some winter themed books for it :) Great suggestions! https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2021/12/top-ten-tuesday-books-on-my-winter-tbr.html
ReplyDeleteWinter themed books in your LFL would be awesome in January.
DeleteOh yeah Winter's Bone! That's a gritty one ... but I felt the Cold!
ReplyDeleteWinter's Bone is gritty, but I liked it. I loved the movie they made of it even more. :)
DeleteWho knew there were so many books with "winter" in the title? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I only listed ten of them. I probably could have easily listed at least ten more.
DeleteWell, you killed it on finding books about Winter. I am amazed.
ReplyDeleteIt was an easy post to do because there are so many books with winter in the title. :)
DeleteA great list!

Thank you!
DeleteNice Twist on the topic this week! I love that cover for Wintersong!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that pretty? I really like that one, too.
DeleteThe Winter Cottage is such a cute cover! I haven't read any on your list. I'll have to check them out. :)
ReplyDeleteI've only read three of the books on this list. I like the look of The Winter Cottage, too. Here's hoping my library has a copy of it. :)
DeleteI love wintry settings and especially thrillers/ paranormals set in a wintry environment! That second one looks familiar I think I've looked at it at some point!
ReplyDeleteWinter People is pretty eerie. I liked it. And wintry settings are the best when you want to add some tension to the story. :)
ReplyDeleteI like that all of these titles have the word "Winter" in them. ❄❄❄
ReplyDelete:D That's why I picked them.
DeleteThese are all new to me and they sound wonderful, especially The Winter Cottage and Winter People.
ReplyDeleteI've read Winter People and it's a pretty suspenseful and eerie read. And I think the Winter Cottage looks like a lot of fun, too. :)
DeleteI've to say the winter setting and/or title is a popular choice in most genres, isn't it? And The Winter People remains as one of my favourite McMahon books. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite McMahon book, too. :D
