I've got a fun but busy week coming up next week with my family's annual Fourth of July Breakfast on Tuesday, play tickets to a local production of Beauty and the Beast (because my niece is playing the Wardrobe), my nephew's birthday, and a horseback trail ride scheduled for next Friday. It's summering at it's best.
Happy Reading!
Yeah, I'm back using the library again and have eight great books to read in July and August. Look forward to hearing about yours and enjoy the upcoming week!
ReplyDelete:D The books you find to read usually end up on my own TBR list, so I look forward to seeing and hearing about your library finds these next few months.
DeleteEnjoy your win! You had a good reading month in June, I think.
ReplyDeleteI did. Lots of good books from the library. :D
DeleteGood quote and it looks like you've got a good month of reading ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun summer reads in the mix so it should be a good month. :D

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to all the family activities this week...though it does cut into my reading time. ;D
DeleteWow...anything left in your library? That's quite a haul. Can't believe I know someone who has actually won a book from GoodReads. I've entered those giveaways two or three times a month for years, and have NEVER won a book. I'm about to give up.
ReplyDelete:D I didn't quite clear out my library, although my books did take up an entire holds bookshelf. But that seems to happen every month when it's library day. And I've actually managed to win several books from Goodreads. Don't know how, but I'm always happy to land a free book.
DeleteGlad you have such a fun week coming up. Congrats on your Goodreads win!
ReplyDelete:D Thanks. It's always fun getting a new free book!
DeleteYay, I'm so happy to hear people actually win those Goodreads Giveaways! Enjoy your busy week.
ReplyDeleteThis is the sixth or seventh book I've won from Goodreads... which is a kind of miracle, because I never win anything!
DeleteThat's amazing! I won a few in the early days but nothing in a very long time.
DeleteCongratulations on your Goodreads giveaway win! I hope you enjoy it when it arrives and your library books too. I want to read The Kaiju Preservation Society too. I hope you have a great week, Lark. It sounds like you have some fun things planned!
ReplyDeleteThanks. :D I'm looking forward to all the fun things this week...despite the too-hot temps that are coming.
DeleteSounds like a good week coming up, I hope you all have fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I always look forward to these kinds of family gatherings and outings. :D
DeleteIt sounds like you have a fun week coming up, and lots of great library books to read. Congrats on your Goodreads win! That's awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteI hope you have lots of fun things planned for this holiday week, too. And lots of good books to read. :D
DeleteCongrats on your Goodreads win! I hope that you love the book as much as I did :) I had a fantastic time with The Kaiju Preservation Society and hope that you do as well.
ReplyDeleteThat's good to know! I like the other Scalzi books that I've read, so I'm looking forward to the Kaiju one. :D
DeleteWow, a Goodreads win!! And for a book that's supposed to be great -- I'm looking forward to reading that one too. Sounds like you have a great week ahead (I love that your niece is playing the Wardrobe!!). Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteShe's really excited about it (though I think she hoped for Belle when she tried out). And I can't wait to get The Seven Year Slip, because it does sound like a very fun book.
DeleteSounds like you have a wonderful holiday week(end) shaping up. Enjoy the summer and your library haul. Congrats on the GoodReads win. I won exactly one out of the 100s I have entered, so well done!
ReplyDeleteAny win counts! I've probably entered hundreds myself and only won six or seven.
DeleteYou are going to have such a wonderfully busy week!
ReplyDelete:D I'm looking forward to it.
DeleteThat's a nice message.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week! Sounds like fun.
Fun...but hot. Our temps are really going up this week.

ReplyDeleteHooray for the Goodreads win! I'm seeing so many raves for that Poston book. You have a really busy/fun week coming up. Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to reading it! :D
DeleteI really enjoyed Novel Proposal and hope you do too! Have a wonderful 4th of July! I just took back ALL my library books and plan to spend this month on ARCs and my own books...we'll see how long it lasts, LOL!
ReplyDeleteGood luck catching up on all your ARCs this month. I find it really hard to not have any library books checked out; it's my one addiction. ;D And I'm really looking forward to reading A Novel Proposal!
DeleteThat looks like some fun and relaxing reading. I have had The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi for a while now and still haven't read it. I have an earlier book by him from the Old Man's War series to read as part of my 20 Books of Summer list.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed a few of Scalzi's books, and have high hopes for this Kaiju one. :D
DeleteI've been seeing good things about The Seven Year Slip so congratulations on the win! A play and horseback riding sounds like wonderful summer activities! Hope you enjoy yourself, Lark! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's been years since I've been horsebackriding. Hope I can still get on a horse. ;D
DeleteI love a good library checkout wander. That's how I find some of my favorite books. I haven't read any of the ones you got but I see some authors I want to read. Enjoy your week! Sounds like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And I'll let you know of any of the library books I checked out end up being fabulous reads. :D
