Beach Reads...

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is supposed to be a list of pool or beach reads, but I tweaked it just a bit and decided to go with five beaches that I wish I were reading on...and the books I'd read if I were there. Here they are:

The beach:

Napili Bay, Maui...my favorite beach in the whole world!
and the book:

Beach #2:

Cancun, Mexico
And the book:

Beach #3:

Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, Oregon

And the book for this beach:

Or maybe:

Beach #4:

St. Ives, Cornwall...where I hope to go someday!

The book:

Beach #5:

South Carolina
And the book?

Happy Beach Reading!

    1. I love Agatha Christie, too. She has such clear, beautiful writing. (But I think I'd love her even more on a beach!)

  4. I really like the way you did your post. I'd be reading a shark book on a beach too...

  8. I'm really bad about bringing books to the beach and not opening them at all. :) Agatha Christie would make a pretty good beach read, though.

    1. I find ocean waves very hypnotic, so I end up not reading very much when I'm at the beach either. But I do always have a book with me just in case. :)

  9. Such beautiful beaches! These are all great choices--I can see why you chose them. One of these days I really need to see something by Dorothea Benton Frank.

    1. Cancun has the best white-sand beaches! I loved it there, too. :)

  12. Cornwall is definitely on my short list--although I would reread Poldark before, during, and after a visit there! Or Daphne du Maurier.

    1. Du Maurier does go along with Cornwall, doesn't she? :)

  13. Oooh, I love your tweak! Cannon Beach is the one I grew up visiting and it's still my favorite. I haven't been to any of the others. Hawaii, yes, but not Maui. I'll have to travel there someday! And Cornwall, YES. Someday ...

    1. I'm hoping to do a road trip to Oregon next summer and spend lots of days on Cannon Beach. Who knows when I'll be able to afford to go to Cornwall, but I REALLY want to! (And Maui is always a good idea.) :)
