ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying it. :)
DeleteThe Captain's Wallflower haiku made me laugh! I just read my first book by Kevin Hearne recently Ink & Sigil and have scheduled a review for August. I guess I should try his other urban fantasy series. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Hearne had started a new series. I like the way he writes. :)
DeleteYour haiku reviews are always so fun to read. :)
ReplyDelete:D Thanks, Melody!
DeleteHounded is one of those books I keep telling myself I need to read. It sounds like a fun one. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it a lot and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Deletewell done, as usual. Those are almost one-sentence short stories, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Some plots are easier to sum up in one sentence than others. :)
DeleteWho needs to write long reviews when your haikus say all that needs to be said. LOL
ReplyDeleteI do them when I'm feeling lazy and I don't want to write a long review...which seems to be quite often these days. ;D
DeleteLots of variety! I have about 10 books I still need to review. I should do some haiku reviews instead :) Love these!
ReplyDeleteYou should do some haiku reviews! I'd love to read them. :D
DeleteI've heard such great things about the Iron Druid series. Are you going to continue and read all of them?
ReplyDeleteThat's my plan! Of course, I don't have the second book yet, but I hope to get it soon. :)
DeleteHounded sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun read, especially if you like urban fantasy. :)
DeleteJungle sounds like it would be a good book.
ReplyDeleteBooks like that are the only way I'll probably ever get to travel to the Amazon. :)
Delete1. I love these reviews. This is such a fun and creative approach to mini reviews!
ReplyDelete2. Jungle sounds fantastic!
Thanks! And I love books that are set in the Amazon rain forest. Jungle is a pretty good read. I also really loved Lost in the Amazon and the Lost City of Z.
DeleteBrevity is the soul of wit.
ReplyDeleteGreat reviews
:D
DeleteOoooo! Hounded! I like the sound of that one.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very entertaining urban fantasy read. :)
DeleteAnother fun set of reviews! I especially liked the one for The Captain's Wallflower.
ReplyDeleteSome haikus are easier to write than others. :)
DeleteAn Urban fantasy?? I’ve never heard of that before. 🙂
ReplyDeleteThink of the TV shows Supernatural or Charmed. Urban fantasies have magic and spells and creatures like vampires or werewolves but the story itself is usually set in a modern urban setting. :)
DeleteYay for starting Iron Druid! One of my favorite series'! Great reviews, Lark! Happy to hear your library is opening up to curbside pickups! :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked Hounded and am very excited to keep reading in the series. Atticus is a very cool character. :)
DeleteI need to read more Iron Druid books. I remember it being really funny!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the first one. :)
DeleteI HAVE to start the Iron Druid series. I know I'll love it.
ReplyDeleteHounded was a really fun read. I'll definitely be reading the other books in this series. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the haiku reviews!
