I know. I went a little overboard. (Okay, a lot overboard!) I'm sure I'm going to have to renew at least half of these in order to get them all read before they're due back. But that's what a pandemic and being library-deprived for so long does to me. And I love knowing that I have plenty of books to read...you know, just in case my library ends up unexpectedly closing again. Here's hoping all the libraries everywhere reopen soon.
Happy Reading!
Yay for the library books! I'm still hoping for mine to reopen soon, or at least pickups. Hope you enjoy the books! Can't wait for our buddy read! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to finally read The End of Temperance Dare, too!
Delete75 days is a long time, so you get a pass for going overboard lol. I'm guilty of always checking out way more books than I'll actually be able to read.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my weaknesses that's for sure. My library bag is always overflowing! :) And I'm always putting on more holds than I can possibly read. But it's a free and harmless addiction.
DeleteYay for Mary Berry! And for The Man in the Brown Suit which I loved. :-) No libraries open in the UK yet but hopefully soon.
ReplyDeleteI've already picked out three yummy treats I want to bake. And then I'll have something to eat while I read. ;D Sorry your libraries are still closed. Fingers crossed they reopen soon.
DeleteWe're supposed to be starting curbside pickup soon. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteYay! Being without a library was really hard on me.
DeleteYay! I'm glad you've got your library back :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes for a very happy day. :)
Delete:) Libraries are essential, aren't they? Hope you like Two Girls Down, I like this series.
ReplyDeleteThey are essential! And I'm excited to finally get a chance to read Two Girls Down. :)
DeleteYay! I'm so glad your library is open again! I hope you love all of these books! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ashley! I'm excited to get reading. :)
DeleteOoh these all sound good too. Yay for new books- happy reading!!!!
ReplyDelete:D It was a good day.
DeleteThat's a whole lot of books in one trip to the library. LOL
ReplyDeleteBut that's what happens when you go through Library-Withdrawal the way we've all had to do. I suspect my first trip will result in a similar load - if mine ever opens back up.
:D I know, I completely went overboard on the number of books I checked out. But I feel much better having a bunch of new books now. Hope your library opens soon...at least for curbside checkout!
DeleteLark, I know you're happy to have new books. Libraries have certainly been missed. I don't check out print copies from the library all that much, but have really missed my time volunteering at the Austin library. They are opening for curbside at a few locations next Monday, but I fear that volunteers will not be returning for a long, long time. Ah well. Of the ones you checked out, I've read the Wendy Webb book and liked it. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading that one right now with Melody and really loving it. :)
DeleteI hope you enjoy your library books! I'll be spending the summer ploughing through books from my reading list and hopefully getting them off to charity shops when the shops re-open!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have lots of books to choose from! :)
DeleteHappy library borrowing! I hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDelete:D Thanks!
DeleteIt's hard to resist when you suddenly have access to all the books again. :-) Happy reading, Lark!
ReplyDeleteAnd there's still more books that I want to check out! :)
DeleteAw how exciting! Ours is open but only curbside pick up too. They have a whole process on quarantine for books after they are returned. I think for now though I'm going to continue to focus on my shelves which are still bursting. Hope you enjoy Two Girls Down - I thought that was really good!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read Two Girls Down! (And our library 'quarantines' all the returned books, too, which means they don't get checked in until four days after you return them. It's a little frustrating...but I guess that's life in the COVID world.)
DeleteHave fun binge reading your library books!! The only author I've heard of and read from your list is Agatha Christie.
ReplyDeleteShe's always a good one, isn't she? :)
