Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week has a different theme.

This week's theme:  Cover Freebie!

I decided just to have fun with this one; I haven't read any of these books, but I do love their covers. And can you believe how similar they are? I was having so much fun, I couldn't stop at just ten.

1. Resistance by J.L. Knight

2. Graceling by Kristin Cashore

3. Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri

4. Malice by John Gwynne

5. Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton

6. The Steel Remains by Richard Morgan

7. Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

8. The Lords of the Wind by C.J. Adrien

9. The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

10. Priest of Bones by Peter McLean

11. Markswoman by Rati Mehrotra

12.  Sword of Ruyn by R.G. Long

13. The Legend of Avondel by Bella Dawn

Happy Reading!

  1. The only one I've read is Graceling and that was several years ago. Interesting how the covers are imitative; kind of like the mystery/thriller covers with a lone female figure in blue, red, or yellow. Not original, but still giving a clue about the kind of book.

    1. Makes me think there's a central place where just a few people design all the book covers and that's why so many look alike. ;D

  2. I've only read one of them too - The Warrior Heir. Yes, they are definitely similar, but that happens a lot in book covers. I suspect we might have an idea at least what these books would be about. LOL

  3. That is kinda funny how similar the theme is for all those book covers! It's definitely a popular look for fantasy. ;) Empire of Sand is such a great book! I've been meaning to read quite a few of these as well.

  4. I don't think I realized just how many covers had swords through the middle until this post!

  11. Swords are one of the most popular images on covers, aren't they? Sometimes I get confused because some looks so similar!

  15. Omg! That's hilarious how similar they are! Kind of like the YA generic girl in a ballroom dress they used to do all the time, right? Now everything is an illustrated cover. I don't know why they need to do everything the same all the time.

I haven't read any but Graceling like a million years ago. Never finished the series with Bitterblue as I didn't hear great things.

  20. I’m a fan of nice covers but I usually avoid those that tie in with the movie version. Happy reading. 🙂
