Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is Books to Read if You Loved _________, and you're supposed to fill in the blank with whatever you want. This took some thought. I finally settled on Books to Read if You Loved Jurassic Park, mostly because I love books with dinosaurs on the cover. So here are ten covers I love:
Oops...I think I just did eleven. Oh, well. They're all fun dinosaur covers.
The only one of these I've actually read is The Dinosaur Four, but the rest look equally good.
I'd check them out.
Happy Reading!
Oh, Dinosaurs, I think a lot of kids from the "Land Before Time" era will love these.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT is about China.
Can't wait to check out your TTT Marianne. Thanks for commenting. :)
DeleteBut of course, I love how we "talk" at least once a week.
DeleteMe, too. :D
DeleteHmm, now dinosaurs are something I rarely read about... You've given me food for thought. Like I need another subgenre to get hooked on. 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteIf you ever do decide to read a dinosaur book, check out Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. It's probably the best.
DeleteHonestly, I can't recall ever reading a book about a dinosaur. If I did it was likely a kids took to my kids --LoL - I could have never completed your great list.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm still a kid at heart and that's why I like books with dinosaurs on the cover so much. ;D
DeleteNever thought there are so many books about dinosaurs. :D All these books look like fun!
ReplyDeleteDon't they? I like the looks of Extinction Island and Dinosaur Lake the best. I wonder if the books are as good as their covers.
DeleteGreat list - they all look fun! I don't think I've read any books about dinosaurs.
ReplyDeleteWell, if you ever do decide to give one a try, there are a lot to choose from! :D
DeleteYeah dinosaur reading looks fun. I like the cover to Primordia ... It just looks a bit daunting -- that world !
ReplyDeleteIt does! That's one I really want to read because I like the way Greig Beck writes. :)
DeleteThis post makes me smile! Although I think everyone has some interest in dinosaurs (from curious to obsessive), I had no idea their were so many books.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how many dinosaur fiction books there are for adults? It's kind of fun. :)
Deletei love E.R. Burroughs tales of a prehistoric world in the center of the planet, w/ all the huge and monstrous predators, mammoths and sabertooth tigers...
ReplyDeleteI need to read those books, especially if they're as fun as his Tarzan and Mars books. :)
DeleteA very good selection! I'm your new follower. May you follow me back?
ReplyDeleteThanks and have a nice day!
Thanks for following my blog! :)
DeleteOoh! Those are great and scary covers!
ReplyDeleteAren't they great? I really like them. :)
DeleteFun! I didn't realize there were so many books featuring dinosaurs. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd these were just the first ones I found; I'm sure there are many more out there. :)
DeleteThose are fun dinosaur covers.
ReplyDeleteAren't they great? These covers just make me smile. :)
DeleteTime break even has the Jurassic Park look/feel! I am with everyone else, didn't realize there were so many books featuring dinosaurs for adults. I read a ton of dinosaur books to my son when he was little, he LOVED them...I wonder if he would enjoy any of these...here is my link: https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2021/11/top-ten-tuesday-new-authors.html
ReplyDeleteTime Break does look very reminiscent of Jurassic Park. :)
DeleteOoh writing some of these down! Dinosaur Four I've heard of before and almost bought at some point- I need to get that! Primordial is another one- Chuckles over at Chuckles Book Cave used to sing that one's praises a lot as I recall.
ReplyDeleteI miss Chuckles! She always had such fun posts. :)
DeleteIn my early teens, I was always looking for books with covers like these ten...or eleven. Too bad Google didn't exist back then; my reading would have been a lot more focused. :-)
ReplyDeleteIf we'd had Google and Kindle back then oh the books that we would have read!
DeleteI haven't read any of these, and truthfully, I probably won't, but I do like those covers!
ReplyDeleteThey're fun to look at, aren't they?
DeleteWho knew there were so many books out there about dinosaurs? They're not really my thing, but I did enjoy Jurassic Park. I think I liked the movie more than the book—I love Jeff Goldblum :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I think I liked the kids in the book better than the kids in the movie, but I agree with you about Jeff Goldblum. He's great. :)
DeleteOoooh, how fun!! I just read a novella with a dinosaur cover this past week -- One Day All This Will Be Yours. It was great!
ReplyDeleteThat novella sounds like a lot of fun. :)
DeleteI'm glad to know that there are lots of books out there for those of us who love dinosaurs!
ReplyDeleteAnd I do still love dinosaurs! :)
DeleteFun post! I've not read many books with dinosaurs so I'm curious to try some of these.
ReplyDeleteIf you do and they're fun reads, let me know! :)
DeleteFun looking dinosaur books! I love books where humans struggle for survival. So much potential excitement
ReplyDeleteI love survival stories, too! And humans vs. dinosaurs always makes for some great action. :)
DeleteThose are very cool covers!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were fun. :)
DeleteI haven't read Jurassic Park, but I like the movie. It is a book I will get around to eventually. Fun covers!
ReplyDeleteThe book (of Jurassic Park) is fun; I actually like it better than the movie.
DeleteThis post made me smile...not that I will read any of these, but they are great covers.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought of when I saw your title, is read The Great Train Robbery by the same author!
I haven't read that one, but I do like the way Crichton writes! :)
DeleteI never would have thought about dinosaur books, very interesting list.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to do something fun. :)
DeleteIncredible. Having a real "I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me" moment (in terms of reading interests! I merely hope this doesn't awaken an unstoppable ebook shopping spree)
ReplyDeleteEbook shopping is truly dangerous! In mere seconds you can turn your TBR pile into Mt. Everest. ;D
DeleteI never read Jurassic Park but the movies are so fun. I'm actually kind of intrigued by some of these covers! Great job with this list.
ReplyDeleteSome of these books look like they'd be really fun reads! there are several I want to check out myself. :)
