12 Favorite Reads of 2024..

I already posted my favorite romance reads of this past year. Here are the rest: 12 Favorite 5-Star Reads of 2024. (Because 10 is never enough.)

The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer

I posted about most of these books on my blog, so you can check out my reviews if you want to know more about any of them. Otherwise, know that they are all excellent reads. And I loved all of them. Here's hoping I find just as many 5-star reads in 2025.

Happy Reading!

  1. Non ho avuto il piacere di leggere nessuno di questi libri.
Ma c'è ne sono così tanti che a volte è difficile fare una scelta e quindi le recensioni degli altri vengono sempre in aiuto

    1. I love Kava's Ryder Creed mysteries! I just wish she would write them a little faster. And yes, definitely add Mercy Thompson to your list next year. I started rereading the series last year and hope to finish rereading it in 2025. It's just so good. :D

  9. I haven't read any of these, and didn't even know about half of them! But I'm glad to hear The Blonde Identity was good, since I enjoyed The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year and was thinking of trying The Blonde Identity. And I'll definitely check out The Wishing Game and What You Are Looking For Is In The Library, and possibly Kelley Armstrong's thriller series.

  10. Nice list. Wow you have 2 with hiking themes: the AT trail and the Muir trail, great. I'm also lured by the Japanese author's novel about the library ... with the cat of course. Looks good.

  11. Great list Lark. I've been wanting to read The Unlikely Thru-Hiker. He sounds like me, someone who has no experience hiking and yet that didn't stop him hiking the Appalachian trail. I am waiting for it to come down in price on kindle but if it doesn't I'll pick up a copy anyway.

    1. I love books about people hiking the Appalachian Trail...probably because it's something I've always wanted to do. But I'm also not much of a camper/back packer. :D

  12. The Boy who cried bear? I see it's a Kelley Armstrong book, so gonna pick that up for sure. What You Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama also sounds very feel-good just by title alone.

Thanks for the great recs, and wish you a very happy new year 2025!
