This week's theme: Books with Colors in the Titles.
So, I went through my own shelves to see what books I own that have colors in the titles. Apparently, none with purple, yellow, orange or pink. But I did find these 10 colorful titles:
Black & White:
The Bride Wore Black Leather
by Simon R. Green
The Woman in White
by Wilkie Collins
Red:
My Name is Red
by Orhan Pamuk
The Red Notebook
by Antoine Laurain
The Girl In Red
by Christina Henry
Blue:
The Blue Sword
by Robin McKinley
The Blue Castle
by L.M. Montgomery
Green:
Green Rider
by Kristen Britain
This Green Hell
by Greig Beck
Legend in Green Velvet
by Elizabeth Peters
What colorful titles reside on your bookshelves?
Happy Reading!
I feel like red is a popular colour for titles from this TTT and the lists I've seen today. However, can I just saw, how gleeful I was when I saw the Simon R Green title? I LOVE that series!
ReplyDeleteThere are tons of books with red in the titles! And the Nightside series totally rocks. :D
DeleteThe Girl in Red and Red Queen (also by Christina Henry) made it on my TTT list today as well. I read The Woman in White so long ago I don't even remember much from it except that it was super eerie and atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT: https://ichlese.blog/2020/08/04/top-ten-tuesday-horror-books-with-colors-in-their-title/.
I love the Red Queen by Henry. And her book Alice? Two favorites of mine! Thanks for commenting. :)
DeleteThis week's TTT sounds like a fun one with colours. I've only read "The Girl in Red" from your list and it was a good one.
ReplyDeleteI liked that one, too. :)
DeleteI've read three of these, and they were all so good. Such an interesting selection!
ReplyDeleteI'm an eclectic reader. :D
DeleteThe Blue Castle is my favourite L.M. Montgomery book!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier.
I love The Blue Castle! It's my favorite L.M. Montgomery book, too. :D
DeleteI had mostly black and white titles, with a couple blues and greens thrown in! I'm not a very colorful reader, apparently.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
:D My list was fairly color-limited, too.
DeleteI'v been meaning to read The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my TTT post for this week : https://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2020/08/top-ten-tuesday-books-with-colors-in.html
I love The Woman in White. It's such a great read! :)
DeleteThat's a fun prompt! And quite a colorful collection! It makes me want to go see what I could come up with.
ReplyDeleteI bet you'd end up with an interesting list of titles, too. :)
DeleteThe Blue Sword and Green Rider both made my list this week. And The Blue Castle should have! But L. M. Montgomery was represented by Anne of Green Gables. One of these days, I should read The Woman in White.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Sword and Green Rider are two of my favorite fantasy reads! :D And I loved The Woman In White.
DeleteImpressive list of books. Thanks for coming by earlier.
ReplyDelete:D
DeleteI love that you picked books off your actual shelf. I don't know if any that I have physical copies of have colors in their names. I need to go check now!
ReplyDeleteIt might surprise you how many you have! :)
DeleteCool! The Blue Castle is also on my list this week. :) I'd like to see what The Red Notebook is all about.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT list this week!
The Red Notebook is a very delightful and romantic read. :)
DeleteIt seems lovely, and I like the cover art. :)
DeleteWhat a great list, I do like the look of the Girl in Red.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun dystopian read. :)
DeleteI love The Woman in White. Thanks for reminding me about
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Castle - I've wanted to read it for years!
It's so good! :)
DeleteWow! I must admit I’ve read none of these. Great list and thanks for opening my mind to more titles.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting! :)
DeleteOh, I've been wanting to read The Red Notebook! Thanks for featuring it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great book! :D Thanks for commenting.
DeleteI loved this TTT so when I saw it I was like yes, I can do this. We both were able to do this with books from our shelves! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI was glad I could find titles from my own shelves for this one, too. It made it so much easier. :D
DeleteAhhh, I haven't read any of these but I'm going to check out the Red Notebook! Great list. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Red Notebook is a great book! It's short, but oh so sweet. :)
DeleteI think "green" in titles is pretty rare, that's great that you found three of them:-)
ReplyDeleteAnd they're all sitting on my own shelf! Go figure. :)
DeleteOoh Green Rider is a good one. I like the Girl in Red too!
ReplyDeleteGreen Rider is one of my favorites! I didn't love the books that followed it, but I loved it. :)
DeleteI really liked Green Rider too! I'm not sure why I never did read the others...
DeleteI stuck with my "read" shelf, too except for one: Emerald Blaze. I'll be reading it soon, though. Loved Girl in Red! :)
ReplyDeleteGirl in Red was good. :) Can't wait to hear what you think of Emerald Blaze.
DeleteI've tried reading The Woman in White and The Blue Castle, but gave up on both. I should try picking them up again some time.
ReplyDeleteAt least give The Woman in White another try. It's one I really love. :)
DeleteI've got a few Greig Beck books waiting for me to read and I'm looking forward to them!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed the few books that I've read by him. I want to read more. :)
DeleteThere's so many great books with colors in the title. I don't think I'd realized that until this week's prompt, lol. :)
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how easy it was to come up with a list! :D
DeleteYou wrote a great list!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday
:D Thank you!
DeleteI couldn't finish reading 'the woman in white', the protagonist was annoying to me. I love 'the blue castle'. I didn't even realize there are so many colors in titles. It's surprising what you find when you lists, maybe sometimes there are too much of certain things.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
The Blue Castle is a great book, isn't it? :)
DeleteLove The Blue Castle, good to see it here!
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favorites! :)
DeleteA fun topic! I really enjoyed The Woman in White and The Girl in Red.
