|I loved this one, too!|
I had a lot of fun this year visiting all of your blogs, reading your reviews, doing buddy reads with Bettina and Melody, and talking books with everyone. Hope to see you all next year!
And Happy Reading!
Yes! 2018 was a great year for me. I got married and had a baby. I also revamped my blog in February, so lots has happened. But I'm eager for 2019 to arrive so I can see what happens then. Maybe it'll be just as good a year!ReplyDelete
You had an awesome 2018! Congrats on your marriage AND your new baby. I don't know how 2019 can possibly top that, but I hope it's at least just as good a year for you. :DDelete
Thanks for sharing your favourites list, Lark! I still need to post mine; I'm procrastinating, I've to admit, lol. And thank you for those buddy reads. I'm definitely looking forward for more and I hope 2019 will be a better reading year for all of us. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Melody! I can't wait to see what books you picked as your favorites this year. :)Delete
My book club read A Gentleman in Moscow, but I never got around to it. I've heard it is slow, but good.ReplyDelete
I loved the main character so much I was just happy to spend time with him, so the book never felt slow to me. :)Delete
It is difficult to choose favorites! Now I have more books to check out from your list. :)ReplyDelete
Whenever people ask me what my favorite book is I never know what to say. I love too many of them to just have one favorite. :)Delete
A Gentleman in Moscow is a great book. I read it last year and really enjoyed it. I'm envious that you got to read Death on the Nile while actually on the Nile! Happy reading in 2019. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Helen! Same to you. :)Delete
Nice wrap up! I really need to read A Gentleman in Moscow—so many people whose taste aligns with mine really love it. Congrats on bird #192. I am considering doing a Colorado Big Year. Happy reading and happy birding in 2019.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Jane! A Colorado Big Year in birding sounds like a lot of fun. :DDelete
Oh that would be so cool reading Death on the Nile while ON the Nile! How fun. And yay for favorite books! I read a lot of suspense in 2018 and loved it, and in '19 I'm hoping to read more urban fantasy.ReplyDelete
Happy New Year!
I love urban fantasy and suspense books, too. I'm hoping to branch out this year and read a little more science fiction and historical fiction. And reading Death on the Nile while on the Nile was so cool! One of my best bookish days yet. :)Delete
A gentleman in Moscow also ended up in my top-10! I loved that book. I hope we will do another bookread together in de new year!ReplyDelete
I can imagine how reading Murder on the Nile, while being on the Nile was an absolute hightlight!!
I wish you an amazing bookyear for 2019!!

Benedict Jacka's books are one of many series that I need to catch up with as I loved the first book!ReplyDelete
I'm currently reading #7 (Burned) and loving it so far. Jacka has a new book coming out this summer and I want to have read the rest of his series by then. (Fingers crossed!)Delete
Hi Lark, Thanks for posting a list of your favorite books from 2018. I must start reading Benedict Jacka since his books sounds like a really good urban fantasy series. But before that I will check out A Gentleman in Moscow. If you chose it as your top book for 2018, that's all the incentive I need to give the book a try.ReplyDelete
It's a wonderful book. I didn't want it to end. Mostly because I loved the main character so much. I hope you get a chance to read it in 2019. Happy New Year!Delete
A wonderful list! A Gentleman in Moscow will be on mine as well.ReplyDelete
Happy New Year a little early! May it bring us good books, and time to read them :)
Thanks, Lisa! I second your wishes of time and good books ...and good friends, too. :)Delete
Very nice, Lark. I've enjoyed reading your blog this year and hearing about what you've been reading. I have A Gentleman in Moscow and hope to read it in 2019 and I think reading the Christie book while actually on the Nile sounds brilliant. :-)ReplyDelete
Thanks, Kay! Your kind comments mean a lot. I hope you enjoy A Gentleman in Moscow. :DDelete
I love reading these posts. I can imagine how reading Agatha Christie's book with your own travel adventure is something to remember! Here's to a wonderful reading year ahead!ReplyDelete

That's awesome to be reading Death on the Nile while on The Nile! Kind of a tragic story, right? But the bad guy is always caught!ReplyDelete
It was kind of awesome. And Agatha Christie never disappoints. At least, she hasn't yet. :) Happy New Year, Rachel!Delete
Sounds like you had a great reading year! Mine was kind of humdrum, although I did find some fun new authors. I'm looking forward to lots of awesome reads in 2019, some of which I'm sure I'll find from your blog :)ReplyDelete

I read a lot of middling books, too...they just didn't make the list. :D Happy New Year!Delete
A good year in reading, traveling, and birding! I love the thought of you reading Death on the Nile while traveling down the Nile.ReplyDelete
I haven't read any of your "best books" yet (unless you count Death on the Nile), but The Lost For Words Bookshop is on my list to read, hopefully in 2019.
Happy New Year, and may 2019 bring you more wonderful books and experiences!
Thanks, Lark! I hope you have a wonderful 2019, too. :DDelete
