Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's theme is AUTHORS WHO LIVE IN MY STATE. Or books by them.
So, here's my list of 10 UTAH AUTHORS along with the cover of one of their books. Enjoy!
Jessica Day George
Look interesting :D
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteVery nice list, Lark. My husband has read almost everything that Brandon Sanderson has written. I've read some of Ally Carter's books. Utah has a lot of great authors.

ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of talented writers from Utah. :D
DeleteI've only read Dan Wells from your list. Tuesdays at the Castle looks like a cute middle grade! Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to read that Dan Wells book! I haven't yet. And I absolutely love Tuesdays at the Castle. It's a very fun book. :D
DeleteUtah!! How fun - I had no idea so many interesting authors are from there. My son and I really liked Brandon Mull's books, back in the day when he was young enough to read stories with me. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved reading books with my mom! That's fun that you got to read Brandon Mull's books with your son. :D
DeleteI actually recognize most of these! I have had Edenbrooke on my TBR forever!
ReplyDeleteEdenbrooke is SO good. I hope you get a chance to read it sometime soon. :D
DeleteI have reserved it from the library (again!).
DeleteI hope you get the chance to read it this time around. I like the humor in it a lot. :D
DeleteI visited Utah on a business trip many years ago. I wish I could remember where specifically but I loved it. Utah is a great state. I was thinking of reading Keeper of Enchanted Rooms and sometime this year I need to give this novel a try.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Keeper of Enchanted Rooms! I'm hoping to read the sequel to it this summer. And there is a lot of cool places to visit here in Utah. I love the red rocks of Southern Utah and hiking in the Rockies myself. :D
DeleteWow, you have some great writers in your state!
ReplyDeleteWe really do.
DeleteI don't think I've read any of these authors but I'm adding them to my list. More to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of good authors with some really good books from Utah! I hope you find some fun ones to read. :D
DeleteThis is the first list I've read today where I can say that I have read at least one book from each of these authors. Go, me! Also, I had no idea that Ally Carter lives in Utah. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Oops! That's my bad. I meant to put Ally Condie! Blame it on lack of sleep and doint this post in a last minute rush. 🙃
DeleteThis is fun meeting a bunch of new authors to me. I am getting lots of ideas who I'd like to read next. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT with Washington State authors
That's the danger and the fun of TTT posts! They always add to the TBR list. ;D
DeleteAnother post about Utah authors, people from your state seem to be blogging a lot. Or I just happened to meet many of them and have a similar love of reading.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for this and thanks for visiting my post:

It's nice to be in good company. :D
DeleteYou always are in the blogging world.
DeleteImpressive. I do not know these but it's cool to get in some Utah authors. I had to look up which authors were from Utah: apparently Edward Abbey and Wallace Stegner! Orson Scott Card. I have read one of each of theirs. Fawn Brodie too. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI obviously went with more recent authors, but I did think about including Edward Abbey on this list.
DeleteI did not know Utah had so many famous authors. I knew about Orson Scott Card and thought about Paige Shelton but I just checked and she just moved to Arizona! How rude of her. ;-)
ReplyDeleteReally! ;D I should have included Orson Scott Card on my list, but I didn't even think of him!
DeleteThis is such a fun list! There are so many great authors from Utah! :D
ReplyDeleteThere really are!
DeleteI don't think I knew that Brandon Sanderson or Ally Condie were from Utah. That's awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI think so, too! It's fun to have so many fabulous authors living in my own state. :D
DeleteGreat list! I should look up authors from my state. I’ve never done that before. Happy Tuesday!
