My Favorite Fiction Reads of 2019...

I read a lot of good books this year in many different genres, so many there's no way I could list them all in one post. So I decided to narrow my list to just the top ten instead. Which was still hard. Because how do you choose one book over another when they're both really good? But I did my best. Here they are...my Top Ten Reads of 2019 (Drum roll, please!):











(I loved this entire series!)









(AND the two books that follow it!)

    Great list, Lark! With the holidays and not to mention my procrastination, I haven't even look at my list yet but I'll be doing my top ten reads soon, I hope. ;p Happy New Year and here's hoping for more great buddy reads next year!

    I LOVED When the power has gone-such a great series! I love this time of the year when I get to do lists and surveys and stuff! Happy New Year to you too!

    Happy New Year! I love how you read so widely across all genres. I too would have trouble picking just one or even ten. I like how you sneakily include other books in a series!

    Such a great list! Quite a few of these are on my TBR list. I had a terrible time trying to narrow down my favorites for this year. I think I finally got it down to my top 14, lol. :)

    I haven't read any of these but I have read several of Susan Vreeland's books and they have all been fabulous. Hope you have a great reading year ahead!

    Nice list. I really want to take a hard look at "When the Power Is Gone: and "Robopocalyspe." You really have a knack for turning up some good science fiction.

    Good list! I remember your review of A Borrowing of Bones, and definitely want to read it. Trail of Lightning is also high on my TBR list, and The Beast's Heart is on there somewhere.

    An eclectic mix! I've read and enjoyed several of these, but there are others I'm interested in. I haven't even finished reviewing books from this year, much less decided on favorites. :)

    Luncheon of the Boating Party is the one that's fascinated me from that list since I read your first review. Happy New Year!

      If you like the Impressionists and that time period, it's a fascinating and fun read. I really enjoyed it. Happy New Year! :D

    I loved The Beast's Heart so much more than I thought I would. I still need to read A Borrowing of Bones, especially since the second one is out now. Murder on Black Swan Lane is one of my faves as well. What a great year!

      Wasn't The Beast's Heart good? I have Munier's second book sitting in my library bag right now waiting for me to read it. I think it'll be the first book I read in 2020. :D

    I always find it hard to narrow down my favourite books. I haven’t heard of any of these authors but next year I’m planning to throw some more recent books into the mix. Happy New Year & I hope you have just as much pleasure in your reading in 2020!

    Yay for picking A Merciful Secret, too. Polaris Rising was a lot of fun and I just finished Aurora Blazing which was also really good. Hope you have a fun and safe New Years Eve! :)

    Favorites list are hard to compile, aren't they? I haven't read any of your favorites, but several are on my TBR or wish list. I know Trail of Lightning. I really need to read Murder on Black Swan Lane this coming year. I hope you have a wonderful New Year, Lark.
